GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY (2014)

... bunch of jackasses standing in a circle ...

I love how Marvel universe never feels broken. Each and every character has specific relevance, and you can feel all of them are connected. This time "The Collector" was here as well, so that was a nice surprise for me, which made things 10x more interesting ... and lovely. Stuff like these makes me crave for next movie in Marvel franchise even more.

Guardians of the Galaxy has nothing but ordinary people ... and things, playing superhero, poking fun and acting dumbass. The best part is, all of them get along so well that its mesmerizing. Rocket and Groot were by far the funnies of all. They stole every scene with their humor and cleverness. Extremely badass and sweet at the same time. "I am Groot." One line, to tell it all. And Rocket ... "I was kidding about the leg"; haha, this Raccoon made my day. Did it make yours? "I'm giving you to the count of five." :D

Bautista speaks pretty damn good for a wrestler. Nothing funnier than seeing him act super-dude while saying dumb things. "Nothing would go over my head. My reflex are too fast." lol. "Biggest idiots in the galaxy" indeed -_- Chris Pratt as Peter Quill, the dude who "lives for simpler things" played it so good, that I doubt anyone else could've done a better job. Some romantic moments with Gamora (Zoe Saldana) ("the melody is pleasant") with some leaving me in tears ... almost ("when her pod is destroyed in space by Nebula"); yea that was way more touchy than I had anticipated.

The CGI is always top notch in Marvel movies, and its satisfying here as well. Okay I might've been put off with the extra emotions at a few occasions, but uncalled for humor solved that pretty fast. Maybe the Villain Ronan, also needed to grow a pair to 'really' do something apart from acting tough and shouting like a maniac. Though, not to forget the final moments of 'dance off'. Believe, b*tch.

I have to admit it. Guardians of the Galaxy took my by surprise. Every character is so well defined that it makes you care for them. The more I watch it, the more interesting it gets. Classic choice of soundtrack needed special moments, and it had A LOT of those. Awesome Mix is definitely awesome. The movie is spontaneous, making fun of every situation, even the most serious ones, with cheesy lines, and fantastic humor ... and this is exactly what I loved about it. Had plenty of laughs, and pure entertainment. 9/10. Its a unique element in Marvel universe and i would definitely want a sequel for it.

Guardians of The Galaxy is better than every comicbook / superhero movie ever made, combined and multiplied by three.
Such a rich experience full of colors and heart.

THE WEDDING RINGER (2015)

~ "Lets go make some fucking history"

Being a Kevin Hart fan, I had to watch "The Wedding Ringer". The idea of being 'a best man ... money can buy' was hilarious to me. And I was having such a good time, was constantly smiling and laughing at the fast talking lecture Kevin was delivering, his code words: PTD (Party Trick Distractions), NAS (Nod and Smile) HW2 (How, Where, What), him 'fucking with his hirer', 'desensitizing the groom' ... until the 'Bachelor Party' begins. That's exactly where it headed downhill really fast.

'Bachelor Party', 'Baseball Game' and the 'Rehearsal Dinner' made zero sense. They had no soul, no purpose; just flashy cameras, 'dogs biting dicks', and ear torturing noise shoved to us as music. Though, Nadia (Nicole Whelan) the party girl at Bachelor party, beautiful smile. The supposedly most beautiful girl, 'the one', (Kaley Cuoco) showed zero talent, and was nothing but a pretty face ... and maybe large boobs with nipples hanging out :yay: And what a underutilization of extremely talented Olivia Thirlby as her sister. (I thought "Dredd (2012)" was enough to show that she is f*cking spectacular in action roles.)

Well, it doesn't mean its all bad. Touchy story behind making of The "Wedding Ringer" was definitely beautiful, just like all of Kevin's speeches. Its amazing how this minion adopts to different styles so quick. "I'm like an angel. I am only there when you need me to be." All the transition from a 'business relationship' to 'actual friend' was believable, and I quite liked Kevin's act ... and his last point "Fcuk yeah I want this money. I earned this money, man." :D Life Lesson: "Some people are just 'loners'. Its that simple man."

Did i just see Jeff Ross in a movie? COOOOOL. Did I see Whitney Cummings singing bad, and getting her ass slapped? NICE. That Xperia phone survived 5 feet high drop :S That joke particularly made me laugh -__- Okay enough. 6/10 It was a good entertainment, partially. Just ignore the purposeless and f*ckedup nature of the ending and enjoy it.

Saw Mad Max: Fury Road in the IMAX and it turned out to be pretty great. Although there could've been better editing in some spots, the overall ride is worth it. The visuals and soundtrack complement very well to the insane pumping action of the film, all those fiery stunts and loud explosions set the whole tone. Didn't care much for the characters all round but I admire how well quotable the dialogue is. It's the crazier aspects of the crazy outlook that made it really memorable. A tad bit dragging in some parts, but damn, witness as you ride to the gates of Valhalla... you will ride eternal, shiny and chrome!

*sprays like crazy*

4/5

P.S

IMAX and 3D junkies should not miss out on this, especially if you're looking for great use of effects in the cinematography.

Mad Max : Fury Road (2015)

Came back from atrium seeing it , first time went to Cinema B i have always been to Cinema D , the other cinema's of atrium kinda suck in terms of sitting and cooling , plus felt crowded with some people i felt only came to eat popcorn and drink soda , such kind of people should stay out of cinema and sit in cafeteria only

My name is max , my world fire and blood, being fan of the series i have seen the previous mad max as a child in late 90's and revisited them in last two years as i remembered jack shit from first viewing , the previous mad max had a kind of story like mad max 1 which had origin story , mad max 2 had most of the action but nothing beat the action of this one , Fury Road serves as a neither a new installment neither a complete reboot , its like a revisit to the mad post -apocalyptic world , same as the previous one in terms of people fighting for water and guzoline .

Talking about the characters , Max himself been played by Hardy now speaks very less his groans(kind of remind like feral kid who grew up to become road warrior in mad max 2 ) and few words

Furiosa : is a powerful character in the movie she is kind of a lead stuff in it , unlike previous mad max every support strong character max is helping or getting help isn't strong as her , charlize theron stole the show

The mad people : The immortan joe and rest of the guyz are more crazy and bad ass unlike the previous ones , the double edged guitar guy the fat guy , the people eater lolz the whole Valhalla pagan belief kind of stuff

The movie has non stop action and some the crazy stuff never seen before the movie is shot so beautifully , its worth wait and right time for george miller to make this movie so late , and after long time a 3d movie which kinda worth watching in 3d .

Can't wait for future parts and more madness and if there is a new origin story attached to max (cause the hallucination he sees a young girl max failed to save) as every new part like previous one's might serve as a standalone adventure of the road warrior

saw "spy" at DHA cinema tonight

yes after a long time saw a movie in dha cinema. it was ok though the sound after coming back from imax or cinepax for that matter is horrible at dha cinema now :p

anyways the movie was a mix of comedy plus action and spy work. there were some good names in it, jude law, jason statham and the funny melissa mccarthy haha and judging by the date in the poster i'd say pakistan got it first than usa :)

the movie was quite hilarious at times. it didn't bore me really 2 hours long and didn't felt boring at all ! fun stuff. jason statham was LOL HAHA man from his usual bada** roles he's a clumsy guy in here hehe even morrena baccarin was in here and nargis fakhry too

good movie gave me some solid laughs

Wow Chhowni
'Kingsman: The Secret Service' was a fun time pass movie. They overdid it with the cliches and visual effects but it turned out well in the end. The latter half proved to be the saving grace for the film.

I like my spy movies all serious. Humour in the genre doesn't quite sit well with me.

Good lord! So much cringe. It's as cliched and corny as a disaster flick can get. Terrible dialogue, annoying characters, that forced emotion ughh! Even the visuals didn't wow me as it did nothing in that department that previous films of the genre hadn't. That fucking flag at the end tho? Holy crap that was bad!

Only watch it for the gloriousness of Daddario otherwise skip this one!

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
