The quality declining because people like you don't contribute regularly not because of kapooras thread which I created for a healthy discussion. [emoji18]PakGamers is in stasis since last few years. It looks and feels old now.
- Needs a major facelift
- Homepage is irrelevant and redundant
- Quality of posts has gone down the drain (Questions about eating goat kapooras ??? and most of WTF threads)
- Performance is really slow.
- Mobile website is like 90s version of forum.
Though on the bright side, it's still active community and forum is alive, which means the forum has to be updated following the new standards.
Thank you so very much for making an apearance. No No No

wtf is the pahari bakra thread?
I have been here for quite a long while and I've seen the engagement go down drastically especially in what I would call more "technical" topics. Maybe its because everyone from that era has grown up, heck even I don't get time now because of med school. Maybe its because newer members aren't as good as the ones from the 2009 era and before. I would coincide this with the fall in the PC gaming community that I've seen. When MBL servers still existed, there used to be an entire organized community for Team Fortress 2, Counter Strike Source etc but that has all but disappeared now. In that era there used to be multiple discussion boards, I remember WorldCall's own discussion board, Wild Cows Consume Kebabs (WCCK), MBL discussion board etc and all were highly active in those days. Now except for PG, all of them have faded away.
Heck even the PC Hardware community has all but faded away and the effects can be seen on the market. There used to be so many brands a few years ago, XFX, HIS, Gigabyte, ASRock, EVGA, MIS, Asus etc but now all you see is either Gigabyte or Asus because the demand is so low. The LGA 755 days were golden and the prime time for PG I would say.
Awww Thank you so much Dear Brolook who turned up
i have been following everyone here .. Specially RESPECT for Senior + Old membersThank you so very much for making an apearance.
You are missed pretty badly man, where have you been all this time.
Oh yes I remember the Metal clan and BOOM from those days. I think PC hardware used to be a lot less efficient in those days, people were pushing their Q6600s and E8400s past their limits making up for most activity in the PC enthusiasts section but now there's pretty much no need to overclock newer hardware because its a lot more efficient so you wont see much threads about CPU coolers, customer water cooling kits etc. Same goes for GPUs.Old COD4 community in 2007-2010 was also here in Pakgamers and from Q6600 processor to variety of CPU coolers and from 2010-2015 was a time everyone built gaming rigs and tried out new stuff.
Gaming was a driving force behind technical knowledge and smartphones weren't good enough to distract you from PC screen. Now the time is changing for mobile platform as well as consoles are getting cheaper and much more powerful.
Future is mobility as well as console gaming is getting more and more focus. New generation takes everything for granted and that's why we are seeing a decline in quality of threads and less technical knowledge across the board. We didn't have 8-10MB connections, MBL 1 MB was capped at 2GB, remember that ?
Being able to play latest games with good frame rate was a luxury very few could afford. Now that it's a non-issue now a days so discussions have shifted towards brain fart threads.
I remember all those old players. I personally used E8400 and Q6600 processors. Though it's old school now.Oh yes I remember the Metal clan and BOOM from those days. as i said ppl are lazy enough not to indulge in any discussion and not hardworking like old ppl used to be,People just don't talk about games anymore. You go to gaming section and it's just full of news posts. No discussions. It's not like people don't play games or don't want to discuss it, it's just that they don't bother to do so on Pakgamers. I fail to understand why that is so?
Maybe because gaming has become more mainstream now than before. In the past, forums like PG were more likely to elicit excitement in users who stumbled upon it because of the relative exclusivity of gamers and thus of a forum for gamers in Pakistan. People used to join it with enthusiasm, thinking "OMG! fellow pakistani gamers!".People just don't talk about games anymore. You go to gaming section and it's just full of news posts. No discussions. tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.Necrokiller said:MS one upping Sony in catching the biggest L in gaming
