^^ Go Go guys,

COD is nothing without cheerful lads like both of you haha. And frankly I am loving the topic of heated discussion :)
Isn't that obvious that we need a faster connection to play better. But it is universally accepted fact that Lag doesn't necessarily depends on connection. It depends on various other factors like HOST DISTANCE, ROUTE, TRAFFIC and loads of other things. Generally 2mb connection is considered optimal for online play. And more then that doesn't reduce lag.

Just started MW3's SP campaign and it's unsurprisingly the same as its predecessors. High paced action and stuff.
It's nice to play a game on 60fps after a long long time :D

I had, a long time ago, 1mb PTCL connection on ONU line. At that time i used to play online, and damn it was excellent. What today is required, is upload capacity of 512kb at the least. If your upload isn't good, then pings wont be better. and at that time, for some reason, my upload and download both were 1mbps. It can also be said that my line was stable as the word stable. Stability is what counts towards better pings.

Agreed, the only difference here is that i have a 10 MB upload speed as well. Most Pakistani and UAE connections suffer from horrible upload speeds. that's why they can't get anything. Even if they host it makes the game unplayable for the rest of the world players.

When my friends in Pakistan used to host Black Ops. It would be unplayable to the level that i'd be jerking around the map in glimpses.

Playing in Pakistan with an international host is a million times more smoother than playing on a Pakistani server as an international player. I now understand why these guys used to cuss me out when i'd be hosting in Pakistan.

I guess going up to 4MB would solve the problem for most, but what do u do about the majority of players that have ridiculous 1 MB connections with 128 Kb of upload speed. I feel like slapping them when i'm paired in their lobbies.

A 2MB connection is all you need for online gaming. I recently switched from 4MB to 2MB and there isn't any significant change. My upload speed is still the same, and it essentially depends on your upload speed the connection you get. I don't have any connection issues. I am mostly in a server with 3 bars and although there is lag it is very much adjustable.

And for those who think cod is easy and oh it doesn't require any skill. I challenge them to play with some cod veterans, they will get their ass kicked so hard they would think a hundred times before even considering themselves good at cod.

Yes cod's learning curve is fairly steep, but once you reach a certain level of skill the curve becomes must straighter and its much harder to improve.

And no matter how old the game play mechanics are, it is still as addictive and fun to play as ever before.

Sir, you should first clear the confusion between a capital "B" and a small "b".
So you are saying that one should have a 512 kiloByte connection at the least.
Seriously?

And whats with people boasting so much about connection speeds and all that? Speed doesn't matter. As long as you can upload a data of 25kB/s, you are going to have NO problems at all regrading speed requirements. Its the "Quality" of connection which matters.
That was for PLAYING the game.

For Hosting, or Being a Host ... obviously it requires to have faster connection, with the ability to handle more data. Here, a 4Mb connection from PTCL having the upload speeds of 100kB/s does the trick VERY well.

Aren't you guys ignoring the latency factor a little too casually? The number of hops between a server and client great affects the "smoothness" of a connection. Just bandwidth alone doesn't constitute the "speed" of the internet connection, specially in online games.

Fixed. Sorry about that.

My points are more focused towards online gaming inside Pakistan.

When i used to play with 'international' community, my pings used to be below 170. Otherwise one used to be kicked out.

Play on highest difficulty and get all the Intel. That'll finish the game 100%.

Excellent! Just finished the SP and it was, quite expectedly, miles better than BF3's single player campaign. The soundtrack was (y)
If I was to rate their SP campaigns, then MW>MW2>MW3

Capt. Price has become the iconic representation of COD series I'd say.
Is there even a doubt?

There was something legendary about smoking a cigar in first person view mode.
Spoiler: show
Just sitting there in front of Makarov's hanging corpse and having a Cigar.

Price has reached new levels of awesomeness for me.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
