Got done with the Campaign last weekend.
+ Who says MW3 looks dated? Yes, it doesn't reach the heights of BF3 or UC3 but it holds up pretty well for a 2011 title.
+ Playing a first person shooter in 60 frames is something more devs should do.
+ Captain Price & Soap MacTavish.
+ As always, an out and out loud and entertaining experience.
- Too familiar.
- Louder, bigger than CoD4 & MW2, just like mindless Transformers movies.
- If this is supposed to bookend MW trilogy, it was an Okay closure but nothing big.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare changed the landscape of video games 4 years ago. It was a revelation at the time but it feels way too familiar in 2011. MW2 killed my love for Call of Duty franchise because it couldn't replicate the jaw-dropping first impression of Call of Duty 4. I won't be touching MW3 Multiplayer or Spec Ops due that reason. Still, a huge credit goes to Activision, Infinity Ward & Sledgehammer to come up with a satisfying campaign despite mass departure at IW.
