Played it for a couple of days (PC Version). I bought it because I loved the beta. Turns out, I only like the Sinai Desert map.

Now looking for someone to buy my Origin account :tv:

Ok the game starts amazing. Just completed the prologue. And multiplayer is fun.
Solid game overall.

Pings are the same what you get in bf3 / bf4
but the game is way smooth
In Alpha that I tried I was getting 60ms ping max in many many servers and was smooth as silk, haven't bought the game yet. But in BF3 I get a min of 150ms in best case scenario and in BF4 at my end everything is effed up even though I have a net that I consider brilliant (by paki standard ofc)....

You must be getting 160ms there is a Big in scoreboard the 3 digits 1st letter gets hidden in SIGNAL ICON

No, I am damn sure because I always arrange servers by ping and I could clearly see the servers with >100ms ping down the list, I was also surprised to see that, that is why I also double checked it back then...also if ping gets above 150 then the signal bar turns yellow, but that was green...

then probably the servers were there for Pakistan or UAE in beta right now there isnt any the ping is same as bf3 / bf4 for german servers

Playing Assault is next to impossible for me. Maybe it's the ping, maybe it's my dislike for large mouse movements and low DPI.. I just can't do well as Assault (or any close range combat really).

What I love in this game though? That badass Artillery Truck. Already gotten a 100+ kills with that thing :tv:

Many potential buyers of the PlayStation 4 Pro may be wondering about whether the console provides any tangible benefits beyond a visual upgrade. There’s at least one game where that’s the case: In Battlefield 1, the Pro delivers a marked improvement for multiplayer performance as well as the campaign, according to an analysis by Digital Foundry — and that could translate into a competitive advantage.
Digital Foundry previously examined the PS4 Pro’s impact on Battlefield 1’s campaign. The site found that the beefier console provides "a big, big boost to image quality overall," bringing fidelity up to "a mid-point between the existing consoles and the top-end PC experience." The campaign also benefits from increased resolution and a smoother frame rate.


Frame rate is the focus of the PS4 Pro’s upgrade to Battlefield 1’s multiplayer component, according to Digital Foundry. The site’s testers had to figure out a special setup to test the comparison, and came up with a clever solution: They ran an original PS4 and a PS4 Pro side by side, with both people playing together in the same online match, in the same squad, one person closely following the other.
In these tests, Digital Foundry discovered that the PS4 Pro offers a consistent advantage of 10-15 frames per second over a standard PS4. The new console also runs Battlefield 1 with more consistency in frame times, and never dips below 33 ms (30 fps). That means that the frame rate is noticeably smoother on a PS4 Pro, and the system manages to pull this off while delivering some of the same resolution and image quality improvements as seen in the campaign.


"In the heat of the action, PS4 Pro offers more visual feedback and crisper response," said Digital Foundry. "While player skill is obviously the key factor in how well you’re going to perform in Battlefield 1, high-end players will get more out of the game running from Pro hardware — it’s simply smoother and more responsive as a result." It doesn’t seem like a significant enough advantage to upset the balance on the battlefield; EA DICE shouldn’t have to separate players on a PS4 Pro from those using an earlier PS4. But in a multiplayer shooter, a split-second slowdown could mean the difference between life and death.

Battlefield 1's large Fall Update is available for all three platforms now, and it brings new hardcore servers and rentable servers in addition to a slew of balance changes, gameplay additions and fixes.
In terms of gameplay, the Operations game mode is getting a tune-up to boost attackers' effectiveness. The time it takes for attackers to capture flags has been reduced slightly, and the ticket awards in Operations and Grand Operations has been increased.
The Suez Conquest layout has been changed based on player feedback since Battlefield 1 launched at the end of October. Two flags have been added to its layout, making it harder for a team to capture all of the flags and close out the match early. Also, some capture areas have been altered to make it easier to re-capture flags. For a team driven all the way back to their headquarters, they'll find an armored car that they can use to bust out of the HQ and try to flank their opponents.
Hardcore servers are where players face a greater challenge with settings that toggle off assists such as the minimap, the crosshair, or the ability to spot enemies. And the Rent-a-Server program allows players to set up a private Battlefield 1 server, set its map rotation and customize the match's gameplay options.


These are the highlights of a long list of changes, which may be seen in the patch notes here. The update went out early this morning and should be present on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One right now.

Battlefield 1 gets a title update tomorrow that will introduce a new map and a slick new weapon, the grenade crossbow, along with the usual slate of gameplay adjustments, balances, and other additions.
The map is called Giant's Shadow and while it arrives in this update, only those who bought the game's Premium Pass DLC subscription, or pre-ordered Battlefield 1 will be able to play it tomorrow. They get a week with the map; everyone else gets it beginning Dec. 20.
Giant's Shadow is based on the Battle of the Selle and its layout includes a giant crashed airship. The map is set alongside the Cateau Wassigny railway and includes open ground and river banks.
The grenade crossbow is a new gadget for the support class, and does pretty much what its name says: launch a grenade further than it can be thrown.


The title update will also introduce a spectator mode to the game. Spectator mode will offer first- and third-person camera views of everyone on the battlefield, plus a bird's-eye view of the map, or a free cam to move anywhere on it. EA DICE says spectator mode will be useful for community-created video, with camera filters, depth of field options and a moveable third-person camera.
Lastly, there will be a new game option called Standard Issue Rifles. It gives all classes their side's standard rifle, and only that rifle (for example, the British have the SMLE Mk. III). The weapons do not have optics with them. DICE said the option is meant to give players gameplay inspired by World War I trench warfare.
DICE will publish full patch notes of all the changes in the Battlefield Forums after the update rolls out tomorrow.

The Trench Raider, the new elite class in Battlefield 1’s They Shall Not Pass expansion. EA DICE/Electronic Arts Battlefield 1 publisher Electronic Arts offered a few tidbits of information about the game’s four upcoming expansion packs today, giving players an idea of what they can expect over the coming months.
The first one, They Shall Not Pass, is coming out sometime in March; EA has yet to announce a concrete release date. As with all Battlefield 1 expansions, it will be available exclusively for Battlefield Premium members for two weeks before being opened up to everyone else.
They Shall Not Pass will allow players to step into the boots of the French Army in Battlefield 1’s multiplayer component. The add-on includes four new maps — Verdun Heights, Fort de Vaux, Soissons and Rupture — as well as a new mode, Frontlines, that developer EA DICE describes as “a mix of Conquest and Rush.” They Shall Not Pass also features vehicles such as a new behemoth, the Char 2C tank, and a new elite class in the Trench Raider.
The other three planned expansions for Battlefield 1 are called In the Name of the Tsar, Turning Tides and Apocalypse. EA did not give any release windows for those add-ons, but did provide the following blurbs:


Battlefield 1: In the Name of the Tsar
Enter the biggest front of WW1 with the Russian Army. Ride in Galicia with the legendary Hussars during the Brusilov offensive. Partake in the skirmishes of the Albion assault in a freezing archipelago and fight in the snow covered ravines of the treacherous Lupkow Pass.
Battlefield 1: Turning Tides
Participate in the amphibious warfare of WW1. Embark with the new destroyer into intense tactical naval clashes. Master the coastal class airship in the fierce interplay between land, air and sea. Engage in the daredevil Zeebrugge raid and storm the beaches in the first days of the Gallipoli offensive.
Battlefield 1: Apocalypse
Go over the top in the most infamous battles of WW1. Conquer bitterly contested ground with brutal tools and unique weapons born out of desperation and deadlock. Never before have the nightmarish horrors of the Great War been closer as you descend into hell. Prepare to enter the Apocalypse.

EA is offering trials of Battlefield 1 — both single-player and multiplayer — on Windows PC and Xbox One this weekend, from March 3-5. Xbox One players will be able to try out the full game with “unlimited play time,” said EA. Origin users on PC will have access to a small portion of the game that’s similar to what EA offered as the Play First Trial on EA Access and Origin Access: 10 hours of play time with all multiplayer modes on two maps, and the first two War Stories of the campaign.


People looking to buy Battlefield 1 can get the game at a discount during the ongoing EA sale, which drops the price by as much as 60 percent depending on the edition. The base game is discounted by 50 percent to $29.99 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. For more on Battlefield 1, read our review.

NEW HIDDEN FEATURES! "SCRAP EXCHANGE" & MORE! - Battlefield 1 They Shall Not Pass DLC

Yesterday, Battlefield 1 received a new update which introduced support for the They Shall Not Pass update as well as several balance changes. The new update also introduced some new changes and features that are mysteriously not detailed in the official patch notes.
A new video by Westie details all the undocumented changes of the new Battlefield 1 update, such as the Scrap Exchange feature, which lets players exchange Scrap for weapon and vehicles skins, changes made to the Giant’s Shadow map and more.


As part of an ongoing effort to address excessive use of explosive gadgets and grenades, we changed the way grenades resupply for this release. The goal for these changes is to reduce the amount of grenades available while getting constantly resupplied, as it is common in choke points, without making resupplies unnecessarily long in other gameplay.

Similar to some gadgets, all grenades slowly resupply when out of ammo. This resupply is greatly sped up when near an ammo crate.

I tried the new frontlines mode tonight and after a grueling 30 minutes of tug of war between the forces i was forced to quit LOL i mean it was going back and forth they came to our base we forced them back, we went there they forced us back made alot of XP but unfortuantely i guess went away after quitting.

Kinda ironic when i read this, my own post, considering i have actually went ahead and 'purchased' it. Does that make a hypocrite? Well, maybe. But i have most certainly not bought it for its awesomeness. I was, let's say, curious. Plus, it seemed like a very good deal. Deluxe Bundles of Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2 from Origin, for just Dhs.210 (around Rs.6000).

And my god i f*cking HATE the guts of this game. This makes me feel that BF4 was a much better game. Maybe because i find "modern" warfare games more exciting and fun. Credit is due for it's brilliance in "World War" case, though. Does anyone remember the Call of Duty World War games? THAT was such a cool and fun game. While BF1 isn't as 'fun', it's still kinda playable with all its ancient (read:shitty) weapons and oh-so-lovely visuals (well, they are absolutely gorgeous).

TL;DR
- Bought BF1 + TitanFall2
- Loved the later. Kinda Hated the former.
- I'm Not sad because world doesn't end here for me -_-

haha welcome back partially :p

as for the game goes, I at first hated it aswell lol the ancient weapons and hard to kill targets was awful but than I played few matches etc just looking around the envoirnment that kept me hooked for a while I got into the gameplay aswell afterwards.. its fun with friends and stuff your own squad etc... though at times it's a bi**h killing others but with a little work you get used to it
