ptcl excess bill

salam everyone guys last month i changed my ptcl 2mb unlimited internet package to 4 mb stater package (40 gb) and after one weak usage converted back to 2 mb unlimited package but they have charged me 1270 for setup/shifting and 500 for installation total bill is 4000
now my question is am i charged right or they have charged me excessive bill

Your line profile is screwed. File a complaint for low speed so your exchange sets it back to normal, for a 4Mbps line.

Thanks to you for all the help and that PTA complaint without it wouldn't be solved i was in contact with kashif Ghafoor (the email you gave me). no more high ping and low internet speed during peak time yayy

Line stats aside, if you call 1218 for low speed which is not below the 60% of package (4.8MB for 8MB package, and 7.2MB for 12MB Package), they will refuse to register a complaint.

For reference, I am getting 10.5MB speed on 12MB Package. Something screwed up my line previously and I lost 1MB on 8MB package on same line stats and downstream rate.
So far I am not able to find the problem and PTCL refused to help as according to them it's company policy (BS).

PS: You should always write down the name of person you are talking to and ask them for complaint reference number, not just complaint number. This is another game they are playing so you can't register a complaint with PTA as they need a complete reference number.

Bhai laken yah phal kby problem nai hoe..laken hamary city fiber cable sy connect nai hai..hamary city tower sy connect or satlite sy maybe esliye speed ka issue ara hai

Can't explain it very well.

The equivalent of ADSL line stats for Fiber connections. If the parameters are wrong, your connection is screwed, random disconnections, possibly no connectivity at all for safety reasons, or very poor speeds etc.
If your optical power is irregular, a linemans tricks will not help fix it, nor will anything you read online. Optical power is very sensitive and is only handled by a proper technician.

our lineman said just a card needs to be installed doesn't matters connection is Copper or Fiber , dont know he is worng or right.
