why do most of you get snr and other values in the 20s and 30s and my values are in the 100s, are they bad?

The field name says SNR Margin (0.1 dB) whereas the value shows 256, I will use my inner mathematician to calculate this:

256 x 0.1 = 25.6 dB downstream

Which is perfectly fine.

Has PTCL been awfully bad for others too (In Islamabad)? I'm getting very inconsistent service and about 50% of the time my internet barely works, this has been happening for 4 days now. Does anybody know about any work that PTCL might be doing on their end which is causing this?

I see, i though it was some ping testing software or something, never mind getting high pings on europe mostly 200 in bf1 on Ps4 .. whats wrong with ptcl again and yeah cant load any video on facebook too ..

Same Getting 220 on EU & 350+ on Singapore CSGO Servers

Considering the Internet works on a packet send and receive basis and that ptcl upload speeds max out at 1mbps even when downloading is at 8mbps then does it mean that I'm effectively browsing the Internet with a connection of 1mb? And are the packets sent somewhat proportional to the packets received? Or is one done significant done more than the other. From what I know packets received will be much higher than sent

It's so annoying!
The video plays the first 3 seconds, then doesn't play at all, buffers for every second after that. It's impossible to even watch those 15-20 second videos that come up on the news feed.

Same problem. The first 3 seconds load and then goodbye. Although on the mobile I can watch the whole video without much problem but on the laptop it's impossible.

Do people on other isps face the same problem?

This makes internet almost unusable. After restarting my router, the problem goes away for a few minutes. I use PTCL fiberhome an1020-25u router and thought the device was at fault and got it checked from exchange but it was fine. Attaching a few screenshots of linestats and ping to google.com and software routerstats..I would be grateful for any help.

anyone else getting 182.xx ip since afternoon ? i used to get 119.xx or 39.xx ping on asia is 300+ on 182 tried restarting 2-3 times but still getting the same ip idk why :/

You seem to be having crazy amounts of packet loss. Try messaging PTCLCares on Twitter about this.

Also, the AN1020-25U is an ancient modem, try using a different one and see if it changes anything.

I have tried writing to PTCLCares multiple times. Will go to the exchange to pick up another modem tomorrow. Any particular model that I should look for to get the best wireless range and stable connection? thanks for your help

The D-Link 2750U or the new Zyxel one with the slightly upgraded firmware. Either will do fine.

You having a lot of packet loss between you and the router. Are you on WiFi or ethernet?

I am using Wifi. It's strange that the downloads seem to work fine during these disconnections.
