Dexter - Series Finale |OT| The End is the Beginning is the End

The show is leading everyone to believe that Doc Vogel is the brain surgeon. Showing her looking at a brain specimen as if it were a trophy straight after Zach's body was found by Dexter implies that she isn't actually the killer.

The real killer is either Cassie's boyfriend Oliver OR (and this is a long shot ) Joey Quinn.

Just watched the latest epi. Its still not totally clear who the brain surgeon is. I guess it seems obvious that Vogel's son (and Cassie's BF) is the one but.. Vogel seems to be involved too somehow :/

To be honest, I don't really like what Dexter has turned into - a lovesick psycho who IS a serial killer, kills serial killers and curls up next to one.

I really don't like dr.vogel character , her screen times makes me skip that part of episode, so boring.

None of the secondary characters have been remotely interesting for the past 3 seasons or so. Hell they could all die in a plane crash or something and no shits will be given. Man at least season 6 as bad as it was, was fun.

Also Vogel will die. It's the cookie cutter formula this show has been following so it's pretty obvious.

Finally watched all episodes till the latest one

So far this season has been a complete turn off with no nail biting moments except when Debra almost confessed to killing Laguerta
Vogle both the actor and character makes me cringe and the entire story line seems like its being made up as they go along

I really though Season 8 would be epic with the momentum they started with Season 7 bringing life back into the serial after 2 lackluster seasons (5 and 6)

I agree. Looks like the writers have ran out of stories. Not as excited as I was, at the end of the other seasons.

That was actually a good episode! If only they'd focused on Oliver and Dexter and killed off Vogel earlier on, this could've been a great season.

Anyhow, definitely looking forward to the finale after this week's episode.

Hannah McKay is solely responsible for this season being so underwhelming.

Last episode was good, though. I hope they end this right.

Well this season was dexter's worst !! No follow up on Maria'sdeath[yet] they both got away so easily .. NO ONE in the department even considered Maria's accusation worth thinking about no one connected her death to the incidents with dexter !Even there was a crime scene created !! all the season had useless side stories and so many characters for a final season !! only last few episode have the feeling that its coming to an end one way or another !!

Dexter used to be edge of seat stuff in every episode and in final season they do this !!

there is still time for a great FINALE though
