Miami Metro didn't even investigate Maria's murder, much less suspect anyone for it. The writers apparently have completely forgotten about it.

It's ironic that there's always been someone who's sensed something off about Dexter in each and every season, except the one where this element was needed most. Things have never been easier for Dexter and there are quite a few people now who know of Dexter's secret, which I absolutely do not like. It takes out all the thrill, though the more I think about it, the more it feels like taking out the thrill was the sole objective of the writers this season.

Same, I think the more people find out about dexter' the less interesting the show got. It really feels like dexter is just a normal person. IMO really makes the show uninteresting and boring.

And now that I think of it, LaGuerta was killed by Debra's gun, but Dexter's plan was to kill her using her own gun if I remember correctly, to give the appearance that Hector and LaGuerta killed each other.

I could be wrong. I don't exactly remember all the details..

The bullet was removed by Dex and Deb, and replaced by the bullet from Laguerta's gun....

Well this season was dexter's worst !! No follow up on Maria'sdeath[yet] they both got away so easily .. NO ONE in the department even considered Maria's accusation worth thinking about no one connected her death to the incidents with dexter !Even there was a crime scene created !! all the season had useless side stories and so many characters for a final season !! only last few episode have the feeling that its coming to an end one way or another !!

Dexter used to be edge of seat stuff in every episode and in final season they do this !!

there is still time for a great FINALE though

Dexter was supposed to be the glorified Miami killer and now after killing Deb he fakes his own death. I can't believe his ideology that people near him get destroyed.

So now that he COULD finally get rid of his urge to kill and start a new life, he chooses to fake his death and deprive the people that love of him of his presence. Wow. What a horrible to ending to what could have been such a memorable show.

Ironically he does end up fucking up his loved ones lives BY faking his death (lmao) (lmao)

After Deb's death, I think what Dexter did was OK. He didn't want the perfect life for himself anymore I guess.

A really bad end to this show in my opinion. For the past 11 episodes he'd been trying to convince Vogel that he can balance and live his double life. In the last episode, he decides to take a complete 360 and go the other way screwing everybody's lives.

The last season should have been somewhat like Breaking Bad - Dexter's life falling apart, with Miami Metro on his trail, while going toe to toe with a villain from his past (his Father, Doakes) or a completely new antagonist (a really monstrous serial killer).

I am going to pretend that the last 4 seasons of this show didn't happen. Dexter for me ended after season 4 - he's still living in Miami, trying to balance his double life, preying on the sadists and lowlife murderers of Miami.

Take out the final seconds from the episode, and it would've been a great way to end an otherwise lackluster season. Nevertheless, it was still pretty decent. A lot better than the episodes that preceded it.

The highlights were the scenes involving Deb and Dexter at the hospital, leading up to the final boat scene.

Agreed, they completely ruined the finale. I couldn't accept this, was googling for and episode 13 because usually it has 13 episodes. Regardless another 'better' Dexter season would have been appreciated but oh well. Goodbye Dex.

The last scene served as a tear stopper for sure or I would have been crying all night long lol.

Otherwise last scene was totally useless and basically killed the somewhat good ending.

I know its predictable, but if Dexter had descended into the water with Deb, that would be epicly more cinematic and would have left a far greater image on our minds.
