Windows 7 dll problem

i just installed windows 7 rtm 7600 ,, works like a charm ,, got the latest drivers for my pc ,, installed all of em ,, they work fine

but when i run games they say dx3dx_39.dll missing and some more dlls whos name i dont remember.


is this windows version buggy ?? or do i need to reinstall directx ( where can i find directx 11 if i need to install it again)


n i tried the compatibility wali thingi but nothign happened.

Yes all files which refer to DX --- something are linked to Directx so you need to get the latest version of directx from here

Latest DirectX installation won't solve this problem. You will have to download the .DLL file individually. It wont damage your PC as its Windows7.

But keep in mind downloading Individual .dll's from internet is a very bad idea. Never try to do this Unless you dont have any Option.

It is advised to Install the Latest version of DirectX first ... and if the problem persists, then download the file individually and place it in the mentioned folder AFTER THE INSTALLATION OF LATEST DIRECTX .

Once he installs the DirectX (any version) almost all .dll files will be replaced in the System Directory ... But still there are chances that Only ONE or may be TWO .dll files are left. Now those files he can download separately.

the problem is only that windows 7 has dx 11
the games u are trying to run require dx 9 mostly this upgrade is included in ddvds of games coming nowdays like devil may cry crysis or any game u only need to run the setup of latest dx9 c updated august 09 pack and ur prob is solved if still u have trouble contact me on [email protected] i m always happy to help my bros

Install both of these and u will be able to play all games , btw same happened with me!!
