Offtopic but please help me out
Currently, I'm doing BBA from IoBM, I have a opportunity to shift my program to BS (Accounts and Finance) as I am more interested in Accounting and Finance field. IoBM A&F graduates get 7 papers exemption in ACCA papers aswell. What is the scope of this program? What will i have options to go in after graduation? Please help me out thanks!
Ok I am doing the same program but different university so I can't speak on the specifics but since you mentioned the program covers 7 papers of the ACCA curriculum what you'll learn is most probably along the lines of:
1) Management and cost accounting
2) Financial accounting, Financial Reporting and Advanced Financial Reporting
3) Business ethics, maybe management modules along the lines of strategy, innovation, marketing etc.
4) And ofcourse Finance, mostly the theoretical side.
As for the scope after that:
1) Investment Banking
2) Private Equity
3) Hedge Funds
4) Mutual funds, wealth management etc. (Portfolio management basically)
5) Trading, commodities, FX market etc.
6) Traditional banking roles, retail/commercial, corporate finance etc.
I could go on, elaborate on all of those but then this post would be a few pages long, so go ahead and Google them
