Hannibal Series Overview: ​

(slight series spoilers,,, nothing major as the series is proly gonna go in an entirely new direction)

After watching the final ep of the season I'm confident this is the best thing to happen to Hannibal franchise since 'silence of the lambs'.

And we havent gotten to the part of Clarice Starling yet! gives me goose bumps!!

Poor Will Graham... for those who've read the novels, know hes shown a highly emphatic investigator who's slowly falling apart at the seams. this shows taken that to another level entirely. Yes the pill popping and night sweats are cliche but the 'visions' he has... damn!

But thats where the writers have shown their skill in making Hannibal true to its roots. and its not the creepy portrayal of dr. lecter or any other character,rather the accurate ambiance the show generates I dont know how... from everything the use of projectors in classes, the vehicles used, the sets, rare use of cell phones and other tech,even the color palette everything screams 90s in a tasteful way. All that makes the viewer think theyre watching a SotL sequel or reading something by Thomas Harris, with focus specifically on the characters.

Speaking of Harris, the writers have hidden enough gems and little tid bits in there to satisfy fanboys. Scenes like the tea-cup hypnosis Lecter does on Abigail Hobbs, especially in the very first episode when will graham goes to see lecter for the first time theres drawings of human figures with holes made by Indian Knives in them, which is a case much like the ripper they're working in the show, and which is the case that ultimately gets Lecter caught.

Speaking of Lecter, perfect casting choice of Mads Mikkleson. acting skills aside (I think hes an 8) the thing that struck me everytime I saw Lecter on screen was the suit choices! Morbidly funny they are, the plaid and block prints which amusingly remind me hes trying to be 'hip' in a very 80s sorta way... considering hes shown in his 40s-50s (young compared to the novels/movies). On another funny note, 'fledgling killer' is one sentence that comes to mind

My personal belief is that they'll do away with Graham sometime in season 2-3 (if the show runs that long) and introduce Starling as the main character. And they should... considering Will Grahams unraveling is spot on and by that rate hes a gonner by the time Red Dragon is finished.

final word: Best thing to happen to network television in a long time. Thomas Harris is a fine fine writer, dare say one of the best modern american fiction writers in a long time (what with his knack for churning out novels 5 years apart!) but the show writers certainly seem to be giving Mr. Harris a run for his money if they can put up something this impressive. Too bad American audiences are generally too dumb to get shows like this.

actually i think it was a million times better than the less than ordinary first season... it is quite better in every way possible in the second season... sad that people think that the shitty crappy white-collar-like series are good..

Just to further explain on my earlier post, episodes 11-16 were underwhelming compared to the first ten episodes of season 2. This show is now focusing too much upon the internal politics of the firm.
Cases have pretty much taken a back seat.

I can't even remember how Season 2 of SUITS ended lol, It's one of those shows that's really great while I'm still watching thewm but once the Season's over I forget all about it till next year.

Saw under the dome,its definitely not a small scale show,has some real potential but didnt get hooked by the first episode. Hope it gets better.

HELL YES!! definitely watch Da Vinci's Demons!! but be prepared to curse the creators after the season finale...eik to itna chota season(only 8 eps) and then the point where they ended it...when i saw it to i was waiting eagerly for the next ep since i didnt know the season was only going to be 8eps(normally STARZ shows are 13eps per season) so when i saw that there was no next ep and the season had ended last week i was literally cursing the creators for like a solid 10-15mins..the cliffhanger is impossible to bear..and if you have played and liked Assassins Creed games then you will appreciate this ALOT compared to those who havent played the games
