I'm dont know a lot about this stuff but I dont think packet loss b/w the client and the home router should be there, I get 0% loss, although packets are lost sometimes at the ptcl servers.

These are my DSL stats.
I've made countless phone calls to the exchange. The lineman has given me a thumbs up regarding my line from the pole to my house.
The PTCL tech guy shows up at my house in the day. My stats during the day remain around 13-15 for SNR, and 40 for ATTN. the Attainable Rate remains around 6mb. He runs a speed test, and the results are satisfactory. So he leaves every time, regardless of how many times i tell him the problem starts AFTER the sun sets.
My area is Johar Town (A-1 block), and the concerned exchange is Faisal Town. Top speed available in my area is 2mb.
What should i do now?

Yes I'm aware of that.
My SNRs rise to 13-15 in the day. And they drop to 3.8-5.0 in the night.
The ptcl guy visits during the day, and the stats are acceptable during that time.

Sounds like the lineman is trying to save himself from some extra work.
I still haven't figured out how time of day affects SNR, but either:
DP to Your House
Exchange to DP
Have a damaged / affected wire in between causing the stats to fluctuate.
Have the lineman replace the wire from DP to your house and see if the problem persists.
Most of the time its the wire from db to junction box ..I had severe issues from past 2 years they installed new lines did everything they could but to no avail .
Snr would go up n down until they finally replaced the damaged wire and its much netter now

Wow! It's a shame to see ptcl in the pathetic state it is in today, they could rule the isps only if they upgrade their infrastructure rather than shipping the money off to Etisalat.Just upgraded my package.

That's because your router and/or ISP doesn't use IPv6, it's not common in Pakistan.
IPv4 is used and that's how the internet is working.
I called PTCL for the issues of slow browsing. Here are my stats screenshot:
Some websites like GMAIL etc are taking ages to load on PTCL but works fine on my 4G Warid.st
When i complained to them they said everything is fine must be your computer and try clearing browsing cache etc.
He said for an 8mbps shared connection your current speedtest of 6.80 mbps DL and 0.73 mbps UL is totally more than find it should be 4MBPS
Then he taunted me to get 1mbps point to point connection if i want full 1MBPS speed, wtf?
I actually pressed 2 after the call i was so disappointed with his way of talking.
Actually this is what happens when a company dominates the whole market even their representatives forget how to respect the customer.

just upgraded to 2 - 12mb lines , geting about 2.4mb download speeds on idm about 2.3 on torrents .so far so good - but why on speed test does it show only about 19mb where as i am geting full 12mb profile on both numbers .

It has come to my attention that PTCL is restricting subscriber's bandwidth
Pakistani copper infrastructure can support upto 8mbps (as long as there are no joints).
PTCL is capable of solving your problem within minutes but the problem is their entire organization has government-like structure.

I wanted to get nayatel installed since long but never had time to goto ptck exchange to disconnect my dsl but ptcl is really making it hard for me to survive so finally i am getting nayatel installed next week but the issue is upon searching nayatel on pg i saw some threads about deteriorating nayatel service saying ports blocked speed throttling and ping issues is this still going on ? Should i get it or no? Now i am confused
