Now all we need are actual gameplay clips. The bus has demo's for both console versions so there's footage out there somewhere ..

Are you talking about clips of japanese version or NA region? For japanese version videos just go to nico nico douga (nicovideo.jp) and search for FF 13 on the search bar. You have to be registered on the site to watch clips. It's not that difficult to register; just do a search.

If you are too lazy to register, just put the video id (sm+some number) at the end of the following link and you are good to go. The vids aren't high resolution, but anyway there are dozens of vids there. What else one would expect!

Edit: you might wanna remain careful about spoilers since alot of these are in game videos.

Stalking the Final Fantasy XIII Bus

Is this line for the Quiznos?

A little bit of recording mischief

Today was exhausting. As many of you may have realized, Square-Enix just started running a promotional bus about... you guessed it, Final Fantasy XIII.

The bus parked itself in random locations around town, and soon after let in people 8 at a time into what could easily be dubbed Square-Enix's Final Fantasy Factory. It stayed at each location until their supply of admittance tickets (pictured right) had been emptied.

Of course, for bus as prestigious and exciting as this one, it took the full force of the Anime Vice swat team to get in. We each had a role to perform. Gia smoozed, Ana recorded, and I waited in line/played Final Fantasy XIII. BWAHAHA

Willy Wonka has nothing on Square Enix... at least in the ticket area.

Update: Just for consumptive information, the demo I played was the 360 version. The bus had 2 PS3, 2 360 set ups, divided by in the center by a screen playing the recently released trailer, featuring Leona Lewis' title track. While we'll be discussing the demo at greater depth in a video later today, I wanted to take a minute to talk about the 360 demo and how smooth the transitions were.

While the PS3/360 demos were not running side by side, there was little obvious difference between them. Despite being the bevy of graphics, the transitions between units were entirely seamless, blurring the over map, the battle screen, and even the string of elaborate attack commands into one fluid stream of action.

In the meantime, go check out the latest Squadcast, where we talked at great length about the entire escapade, as well as response of the demo.
