Suggest me Android within 40 to 43k

Hi everybody I am looking to buy a Smart phone only Android within 40 to 43k maximum not willing to spend more. Preferable brand new, can consider used as well with some warranty condition must be 10/10 all acc & box. Willing to keep the phone for long time so doesn't care much about resale. Eyeing for TRUE VALUE FOR MONEY Phone

Have used my friend S3 didn't like it much. I know that I can't get perfect phone or all my requirements in one phone I have to sacrifice somewhere. I am open for suggestions feel free to suggest me any phone. I will consider all options.

My requirements:

• Need all in one multimedia phone (surfing net, movies, games e.g.)
• Display bigger the better result should be excellent or very good.
• Quad core and 2 GB ram minimum
• Back camera result must be very good for both still images & videos. Front camera has to be good enough for video calls.
• Greater internal storage & SD card slot is better.
• Good Battery timings
• Good build quality and design preferable
• Replaceable back cover and battery should be prefer

3 phones in my list are:

• Xiaomi MI-2s 32gb version
• Samsung Galaxy Note II
• Nexus 4

Some Pros and cons of Xiaomi MI-2s:

• offers true value for money just like N4
• Weekly and Monthly updates by Xiaomi So no such issue regarding updates
• Surprinsgly I found all Reviews are positive
• No heating issues
• Same internal hardware/parts which Samsung, Apple, HTC and other companies use in their phone
• Even Gsmarena mentioned this phone in their smartphone Petition http://www.gsmarena.com/help_us_make_a_change_sign_our_smartphone_petition_now-news-5891.php

Cons

• 4.3" screen
• no major cons I could find so far
• 0 resale but since I want to keep phone for long time it will not such issue

What do you think this phone worth the money? What should be the maximum price of this phone 32gb ver in Pakistan with 1 year local warranty?

The original price in China is 2299 Yuan = 36,951 Pakistani Rupee


Have some concerns regarding Nexus 4: (I have not seen it my self in real life)

• Back glass can shatter
• Display not so great
• Heating problems
• Poor battery timings
• Limited 12 GB internal storage (out of 16) NO card slot
• Camera result not so good

And guys please don't start any War

Nexus 4 16GB easily. FYI it does have a pretty good display, decent battery life and the heating problems are over rated. All smart phones these days seem to be quite fragile so I wouldn't consider the back glass to be a deal breaker.

Nexus 4 does have a not so great camera and limited storage so its upto you to decide. Value for money wise it cannot be beat.

Nexus 4 16GB or used Xperia Z(display is not as bad as some people say but finding one till 43K might be tricky) will be good.
Personally, I would buy the nexus 4 16GB because of the value it gives.

You clearly don't have other options with the requirements of the phone being quadcore and have 2gb ram, go for the nexus 4.

yep nexus 4. Decent size, good feel in hand especially the curvy screen sides, quad core, 2gb ram so no worries about killing tasks.

my friend got one recently and although im really satisfied with my galaxy nexus, i want to upgrade to nexus 4!

You can check on OLX or in your local area mobile market, should be able to get it for approx 40k in good condition.

Bro if u root ur nexus 4 after buying... U can solve battery issue...

5.5 hour screen on time

Heating issue is because glass conducts heat faster thn metal or plastic..

Its great phone im using since 3 month...

If you wait a month or so or even search the market, you can get a Note II for around 44-46k. This may drop more in a month or so.

Else Nexus 4 is better.

Two phones in my list:

• Nexus 4
• Xiaomi Mi2s (dropping this idea due to very bad experience with AllmyTech)

the back glass doesn't shatter easily. i've dropped my phone several times on a marble floor and not a scratch on it. but i do recommend getting the official google bumper for it.

The display is excellent with great viewing angles and good contrast ratio for an IPS LCD. the colors look natural and sunlight legibility is good too

The Heating problems are exaggerated. my phone doest heat up i've got 3g on all day and use it like a work horse.

The battery life is respectable too. it gets me through a day of heavy usage. get about 5 hours of screen on time.

the camera isnt the best of the 8MP shooters but its still a very good camera.

The limited storage can be a dealbreaker u get 12.92 GB of user avaliable space. Personally for me its more than enough. i have about 2 GB of music on my phone and 2 gb of apps add some photos and videos and i still have around 8GB space available so it isnt a deal breaker if u dont plan on putting 12GB Bluray rips on it

well it depends on how it falls. if it hits the ground side first then the phone will most likely survive but if it falls flat then glass is glass. its bound to break. The back of the xperia Z is also glass. it'll shatter just as easily if it drops flat. That's why i recommended the bumper case. it protects the glass from touching the ground incase of a fall and it doesnt add any thickness to the phone.

Phones are made to be held in your hand. if someone drops it and it breaks something. its not because the phone is fragile its because phones arent meant to be dropped from several feet onto hard concrete, asphalt or marble.

phones are accident prone so in my opinion they must be solid enough to suffer the drops, i drop my phone many times but its made of plastic so no worries :wink2:,

what you guys think about GS3 in 40 to 43k budget ? not a good option anymore ?

well it depends on the person. some people prefer aesthetics over function. S3 for 40-43k is overpricd.

Phones are accident prone but even an s3's screen would shatter if it falls face flat on concrete from shoulder height which is about 5'10-6'. Like i said it depends on how the phone falls. my friend's iphone 4s fell down a flight of stairs but because it landed on its side it survived.
