i am looking to buy a xfx 9800gt....i just saw the benchmarks between 9800gt and 9600gt and fps are fairly the same. Clocks are the same. In fact core clock on 9600gt is 650 mhz and the 9800gt is 600mhz stock. I know the difference of 92 stream processors vs 112. Besides this what is the real difference.

Will it be a better option to buy a 9600gt and and save around 2.5k for a good casing. I am not willing to change my gpu again atleast in 1.5 years and play most of the games.

Secondly, i have the e7200 at stock and looking to oc it to the 3.0 ghz mark atleast. Should i buy a new cooler for this? Or stock cooler would do.

no dont think of 2.5k coz 9800 is far better when it comes to stream processing and shaders
if u buy 9600 u will soon regret it

for over clocking u must get a cooler or ur cpu will be damaged in summer

ichill series cards are good
these cards have better coolers then others

i have core 2 duo processor bought dis month!!!
MOBO: DG41RQ
Processor: E8400
2gb ram
n 360 gb hard drive!!!

Dont have any psu or gpu at dis tyme!!!

My 1 frndz suggested me to buy 4770 n other gts250.......
So plz suggest me which 1 shud i buy!!!

I can afford 16k max......... for psu n gpu!!!
I just cant decide which shud i buy....... az i m new to pc gaming!!

My frnd waz saying gts250 cant run on 450watts psu........ coz it requirez minimum of 500watts n can damage ur board if u use less psu!!!

He suggested me to buy 4770..... az it can get almost equivalent to gts250 after overclocking....... n its overclocking iz easy!!

It requirez less power n can give me less temps n less electricity bill n almost same performance!!
He waz also saying physics x iz not going to be in upcoming gamez so i better buy 4770!!!

Suggest me weather i buy 4770 or gts 250 to have low temps, better perfomrance n less electricity bill!!!

You can go for GTS250 512mb which is for 11.9k and Corsair cx400w PSU for 4.5k!!!So total becomes Rs.16400!Its best combo and the PSU is best budget buy and can even be useful in future upgrades!!

Well this ain't true!!Ur frnd doesn't seem to know much about hardware i guess....

...it performs better(waise 4850,gts250 and 4770 main faraq bahat kam hai)
less electricity bills
bhai all the three are power efficient going into 2d mode(lower clock I.e lower power consumption) when idle(but never the less 4770 is the most power efficient).,
hmmmmm.for the psu go with the corsair 400watts

I heard dat da temps of 4850 r very much n 4770 r very low..... abt da gpu while playing gamez (not at idle), how much difference will be in my electricity bill........
I m using normal 19 inch branded monitor, not LCD.......!!!

n at how much tyme m i supposed to be gaming....... n using normal pc!!!
I use my pc almost all day,

Yar ithna power difference nahin ha , and its like this GTS250=HD4850>HD4770!!!U won't be getting HD4850 due to its higher temps , and then comes GTS250 which is more future proof then HD4770!!!I have asked for cx400w instead of CM460 , bcoz CM procuctes are not relieable in the long run , if you won't upgrade in the 3 years (I mean it coz i know u will want a DX11 GPU) so u could also go for Asus 450 watt , but still x400 is very very very good!!!

I m not interrested in dx11 gpuz..... az i m not so rich to afford another card after dis lot spending of money!!!
I will use it untill da gamez can support dis card to medium settings, az current gamez can be run using 4770 or gts 250 on max!!!


So, if i can be free from upgrade for 3 yearz by using 4770 to medium settings for future releasing gamez!!
Den i can buy 4770, or if i cant play next 3 yearz gamez wid 4770 on medium settingz, den i will buy gts 250 to be free from upgrade for 3 yearz!!

You have a budget of 16k ... for both GPU + PSU
You have a Intel Mobo so you cant OC which means no extra power needed.


GTS250 512MB = Rs. 11900
PSU = Cooler Master 460W @ Rs. 3500
TOTAL = Rs. 15400
