Just wondering, My friend has an HTC phone with android.. Can i borrow his phone and hack my ps3 and then return the phone to him? or would i need the phone again in the future?

you will need it everytime to run ur backup manager on ps3. the best choice is to wait a week more or to buy a phone which supports this hack

You would need the phone everytime you start your PS3 ..

Still no PSP port ?? You would assume that PSP Port will be out before all of those others... Seems strange and irritating bring it out already....

Another question, If i download a game and put it on my PS3's Hard Disk... The BackUp manager will recognize it ? right ? Is there a special Folder/place where it should be copied ?

Already got a 360 for piracy and PC as well. Of course I'll keep PSN.
Unless they design a homebrew app that fools the version checks online

I just realized how many games i missed... because of cost... I only own God of War, MGS and Heavey Rain

I mainly use PS3 to watch High-Def content, so now i am waiting for a CFW which would allow me to watch all those MKV files without muxing...

It would be sooo funny if all of this haults and if hackers fail to jailbreak the PS3 again with the new firmware upgrade that we have now. The whole cat and mouse thing has started already and this will only get more interested in the coming days. Right now the situation is as following:

Not gonna happpen anytime soon. The hack is still very much limited to lv2 (gameOs). Unless someones finds another exploit (preferably in lv1) using THIS exploit, everyone will be pretty much limited to just small patches to PSgroove/psjb-updates (that'll add smaller features). Mathieulh and his team spent months trying to progress upon geohot's exploit. They kept things private about whatever progress they made till right before the jailbreak release. If it weren't for the PSJB team, these guys would still be searching for the perfect exploit to get rid of hardware dependencies e.g. those in geohot's exploit.

pardon me for my ignorance but does JAILBREAKING ps3 mean that one cannot log onto Psn then ?
and will all games be available to play on ps3 thru this jailbreaking thingy ?

you can play offline games with the hack as much as you want. online play works though a hack for now (call Logan5), but it'll be soon removed also, because this circumvention was once disabled, now outta nowhere is working again, but it'll be short lived.

so yeah, either its PSN (online games) or offline games ,choose one
