I think we could even have a separate thread for every major tournament (assuming there's enough interest), now that dota 2 has a dedicated section. Don't need to compress everything into one thread.
I was thinking the same thing. Since we have a separate section, there is no need to post everything in one thread.

Guys, I'm a pretty noob player at dota and have just started recently, but is it just me or are pub matches insanely boring. I mean people just run around like monkeys and its very rare to find a game with random people that has even the smallest semblance of team work. I sometimes play with my friends but mostly its pub games and I've just gotten sick of how people fail to analyze the other team's movement and respond accordingly

^^It really depends on the skill bracket you are in. As you get better and start stomping matches you'll eventually move up the bracket where you'll find games that require much more effort.
For example, warding is absent in lower level match but in high tier matches even counter warding etc. is quite common.
Also which heros do you play with normally? Personally I find carrying to be a boring role. But roaming/supporting never stops being fun. Change your playstyle, mix up your heros and take risks.
When I'm owning, I dive all the way to the fountain just to see how many heros I can kill before I die :D

At the end it's a game, don't take it too seriously.

You know I'm generally a risk averse player but this one time as bara I dove all the way to the fountain (this is with the tier 3 still up), got 3 kills on the way, and died a very satisfactory death.

I don't take risks normally either. I was just suggesting him ways to make the game more 'fun'.
Also I only fountain dive when I'm completely sure it won't screw my team. :p

That's some solid insight my friend. And yeah, I've noticed that when I play with my higher skilled friends the matches are much more exciting and tactical. I've recently been changing things up, I try and play with a new hero every single game and that generally results in not so good a score hahahahha. But yeah, you're right that playing as the carry isn't all that much fun. A support role on the other hand offers much more things to focus on. I'd love to add some of you guys so that I can learn newer aspects of the game.

So ICCUP has launched for dota 2, and I believe it uses the LAN feature of the game to host games. This means your in game ping depends on your latency to the host, and if everyone is in Pakistan, it should be pretty low. I don't believe anybody's going to want to play there regularly (good pings on sea now + lack of item drops on iccup etc), but for tournament games, its a possibility. Might be somewhat of a hassle installing it though.

^^ A league style tourny would be more helpful in the sense skill levels of players will match evenly. Deso can allocate different tiers to differnt toruney mods.
