There are definitely good Pudges too, those who buy Force Staffs and hook instantly :{ But when everything goes right, like supports ward properly, buy courier, buy supporting items, then I almost always dominate. I played 5 games today and in every one of those games, killed 20+ and died less than 5 times, not to mention assisted 10-30 in each game, and of course won all 5 games
. I love it when our heroes ping enemy heroes. I Ult my assasinate from long range and watch them get owned by tankier heroes having left with 1/2th of their health in early game
It all comes together so well.
There are also some days when I get shitty teammates (those who join a gank while at 1/3rd their health, to ks). Some days I feed too much (enemies have all tanky heroes, like Pudge, Bara, Centaur, Huskar etc). And other days, when I am playing safe lane, the support hero takes all the last hits, or pushes the lane instead of pulling it -.- So I lose those kinda games.
I was so underconfident while playing Sniper due to how extremely squishy he is (I asked for advice here and it definitely helped, and will no doubt ask once more if I hit a rough patch). But I think that I am beginning to get the hang of Sniper now. How to hide, how to kill invisible units, how to avoid tanky heroes, when to join a gank, which items to buy in which situation. Map awareness has improved so much.
I bet that after a month or two, I will look back and see how little I knew of DOTA at this point. I am yet to get a taste of a proper DOTA 2 clan war. My experienced friends are pressurizing me into playing it, but I don't think I am ready. Will begin after 20th Nov
I think that DOTA is one of those kinda games in which even if I play for 2 years straight, I will keep on finding new mechanisms. Kinda like how CS is.

BTW I think that Sniper should indeed take solo mid. Sometimes it is bad, like against Mirana or Huskar (or Bara, or Pudge etc) who close the distance gap too much too quickly and kill Sniper. But mostly it feels safe to me to solo mid. Plus Sniper is really weak early on, with no defense, no attack, no proper abilities. So last hitting and denying creeps is the best way to earn XP, start carrying, and not letting their solo mid get that much XP.
