idiot. & GTA 4 does not depends only on RAM.... the game is Quad Core CPU Utilized, if you have a Quad Core CPU, then you should have no worries while playing it.

Thats why i was afraid of 512 mb 8800gt.I wanted to buy 1gb one.
If i had 1gb 8800gt it would have bottle necked my pc everywhere except GTA4 ALAS!
I was able to do alot more settings on my pc in gta4!

YOu have an excellent rig. The only thing you need to consider about is to get a Better card. e.g GTX260 216sp.
And not all games use more v-ram. 512 is just ok. 1GB is better when you play a game at higher HD resolutions.

considering that you have a quad core u shud be able to run this game with very high settings without a doubt
or maybe its ur card that needs an upgrade
8800GT is still the best card out there. Upgrading from this, ONLY to play GTA4 is weired.
And i think it is not a good time to upgrade
since the DX11 cards are just about to launch.According to the readme file the only thing patch #4 has changed is: "Resource management adjustments based on the operating system detected.” What this means for the PC gamers will probably be revealed soon. I think this patch corrects the detection of hardware. Previously the game detects the processor as Xeon processor in XP I think!!
You should install the patch 3 aswell because Patch 3 boosts the performance of GTA4Lol now i found out my patch # 3 may be corrupted tahts why after applying that it is giving fatal error...!
Now i have only applied 2 patches, the game is running on windows 7 awesome...!:banana:

I am facing a very serious problem with my GTA IV. I think i have quite a good system to play GTA IV on high graphics but still I can't. It gives so many jerks while playing that I can't even control. It stops after 5s and then starts and so on. What should I do???????????
Stops for how long? Is it stuttering or pauses for a few secs? And what settings and res are you playing at? What fps are you getting?

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
