Book Suggestions

I need a few good books to read, actually my vocabulary is very limited, so thats why i want a few good books.

I need suggestions for which book to buy, it shouldn't be very boring or a deep-ish kinda book, should be something light and fun to read.

Thanks,

it seems from your post you haven't read all that many books before. so you wanna start off with something that'll keep you interested till the end. how old are you btw? maybe i can recommend you a book keeping in view your age.

i would recommend "moth smoke" by mohsin hamid. because it's a book about lahore, it's quite a quick read and it's not a bad book. it's a nice book to start off with. bapsi sidwa novels are also fun and on the most part intersting because they're based on desi concepts and should keep you intersted in the plot long enough to finsish the book.

and ofcourse almost everyone i've ever met (and i mean EVER) has read "the alchemist" by that paulo choelo guy. i think the book totally sucks! but it's a quick read and fun for the most parts. i think the important thing about reading books is that once you actually read a book from start to finish you tell yourself that you really CAN read a book and you'd be more inclined to read more.

books are really different from games. i like a lotta books that other people would never ever read! plus us gamers do usually have a short attention span because games are just so much more action-packed than even television! but hang in there, there is no greater pleasure than to get totally soaked up in a book.

You may like Dan Brown's Digital Fortress.

LOTR is great too. However, my fav has been the Harry Potter series from book 4 to 7.

If you want something REALLY good, something which isn't action packed but better than any of the suggestions posted, Flowers For Algernon.

Grrrr I told you not to make a separate thread!

Read The Green Mile by Stephen King. The most beautiful thing ever written. *tear*

Which HP books have you tried man?
IMO the series really picks up after book 3.

Books 6 and 7 are the best I've read in my life.

Hunt For Red October by Tom Clancy

Was a damn good thriller. Tom Clancy is one hell of a writer. 8/10.

Of course, you could always download the Halo series of books :D

BTW: Look in to some horror by Stephen King. It by Stephen King is a long book, but is by far the best horror novel I've read thus far. Edgar Allen Poe is always a great option too.

If you're liking what you're reading then try Brown's other writings - I recommend Digital Fortress. For some reason, I didn dig the Da Vinci's code.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
