Today Gamestop revealed the minimum specs for PC gamers. Have a Look

• OS:Windows Vista/XP
• Processor: AMD 64 3200+ or Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz or better
• Memory: 16 GB free hard drive space
• 512 MB RAM (XP)1GB RAM (Vista)
• Video Card: Shader 3.0 or better 256 MB nVida Geforce 6600GT / ATI Radeon 1600XT or better

The game's engine is not new. Its still based on the Old MW Engine and WaW Engine. So it was pretty much expected.
I doubt if it needs a i5 or i7 to be played smoothly

the graphics requirements are pretty resonable but 16GB HDD?? thats a big jump for COD.

What abobobilly said. The graphics engine which MW2 uses is the same as MW and WaW, though it features some enhancements, requirements remain the same for the most part.

even higher req games are more sucky and with poor graphics than those with mid range

Those are obviously modest requirments because the game is nothing more than a tweaked CoD 4 MW! Ingame video pretty much shows that this isnt anything on the graphical front by any margin!! Im pretty sure everyone would be playing this 720p+ ...

And please remove that goddamn first picture ... definative multiplayer ? Lol ... they are bringing multiplayer down to patethic lagfest no dedicated servers a.k.a. console level!

Expect the recommended to be something like a Core 2 Duo/Dual Core with 2GB RAM and a 8800GT/3870 etc. ... nothing more than that.

The minimum requirements are for you to JUST start the game and play the game on LOWEST settings at the badest frames possible
