^Yaar the problem is that I applied for the student connection . And that too , I didnt apply online but in the Exchange . The guy in the exchange has to send that info to the guys in Isb via e-mail. And the server of that website is currently offline . So , the moment that server comes back online , I'll get my connection the next day . If I didn't have applied to the student package , then I would've got it the next day . That's the max. duration installation takes here in my city . Max 2 days .

I tried to aply on the Student Package online atm , but when I wrote my phone number , it said that a BroadBand connection has been already applied on this number ... What does that mean ?

I don't think that there is a bug . Because , yes I've already applied on this number . But the guys here say that the link to the website is down and thus , my query didn't get forwarded . But now , it seems like the server is online again . And their website shows that my query has been forwarded .

hapened wid me..when i aplied for for student pack i didnt get any reply but it said my reg had been forwarede so today i opted for regular pack..

i have applied for student package on ma other line..if any tym they cu up wid it i wud cancel ma regualr pack on the other line..::p...i will be paying 1200 for 512 so no prom payinhg 1400 for 1mbps..:p

PTCL will always be the better DSL provider as its the one giving LDN the bandwith. PTCL is the source, the source will always be better than the 'third party' as you might wana call LDN.
UPDATE: LDN has shifted to TW1 recently because they felt that LDN was recieving bad services from PTCL due to competition. LDN bought 622 Mbits of bandwidth from TW-1

LDN pings suck ... that ive seen with MANY LDN players on MBL whining about bad pings with a 1MB connection while I get 70-100 pings on my PTCL 512, always.
This should be changing now in the next month or so!


Ive been streaming video for 53-54 kilobytes per second all day today. Thats pretty darn good.

I play WoW on US and Euoro servers.
I play COD 4 with my friends in US
I play PS3 games on PSN

listing Broadband services in order of least problems to most and playability

Maxcom (VERY good support and immediate response)
LDN (slower response - good service)
Cybernet - DSL (Expensive!)
Worldcall - (some times too good sometimes slow)
PTCL/Gerrys ( VERY VERY good, only when they work!)

This is based on gaming experience of my own and several of my online gaming buddies who are located in different parts of Karachi

I am currently running on Max com and LDN at home and transworld at office.

    did you try setting up Google Payments? For UBL you may have to get it enabled for internet transactions, Naya should work without it!
