I got robbed tonight in Lahore around 9:00 to 9:30pm
I got robbed tonight for the first time in my life and I hope so it was the last one too. I was going to my friend house which is exactly in our alley street. When I left my home I was only having 3 things with me my cellphone, 1 cigarette which I was smoking and a cigarette lighter.
I assumed first to visit near general store to get some cigarettes then I will visit him. I fairly walk some, hardly 10 footsteps got away from his house meanwhile I saw 2 guys on CD70 bike coming from the other end of the street which is exactly main road with decent traffic. As soon as I saw them don’t know why I don’t felt good for some instants they came near me their ages were like: the guy with gun was around 20 to 22 years old and the driver was around 14 to 16 years old boy.
I predicted both were typically paindoos or belongs to some village. Firearm guy came near me, pointed his gun on my chest and said give your cellphone to me, I was dazed and said ok take it. Then he roar on me give me cash, give me God damn money! I said I don’t have any currency.
He spoke in Punjabi: jhoot bolna aein (you are lieing) he came close and checked all my pant pockets one by one to find money but nothing were there. Next he said hor kee hega aay teray kool (what else do you have) I said nothing all I have is this cigarette lighter (which was in my other hand still coz I burned the cigarette some moments ago).
Poor thief took my lighter and said in loud voice: nuss ja door nuss (run, go away run). This entire thing hardly took 60 seconds. Street was empty this thing happened in dark area of the street, and amazing thing this incident happened out of a house which have their own security guard and I don’t know why that security guard was not there tonight, otherwise I almost see him daily sitting on his chair out of that house with his shotgun.
Anyway for some seconds I hesitated and thought where should I go? To a friend house or to near store? I turned back and went to my friend house, which was not at home by luck. In the meantime thieves turned their bike and ran on main road. I paused there for some time and went to store to get smoke.
After coming home I call Ufone helpline told them to block my sim card which they did, then call PTA and requested them to block my cell phone. When I told my mother about this incident she said you should ask him to return your sim card. And yeah I did some shukrane k nafal for my life was protected and I was alive, I was saved by Allah from any big loss/harm. For sure now will do Sadqa.
Now coming to exciting theme of this robbery:
My cellphone was Nokia 1208 (LCD colors were dead, only available colors was RGB); battery cover was 100% lose and there was some distortion problem during call. I was not having a single penny in my pocket even; my cigarette pack was at home. When shooter pointed his handgun to my chest, I saw the color of Bullet hole it was silver and rest gun was black. I assumed maybe it is a fake handgun and poor thieves are robbing peoples with fake firearm, for a second I thought I can get this guy and his gun too but another thought flashed what if the other guy driver also have weapon and he shoot me right way in that dark place and run away.
No one will be here to help me or to take me hospital and who knows I could die at the spot. I was not frightened during this entire robbery but I get afraid by his words “you are lieing you have money” the moment I said to myself when he will not found single penny, possibly he get furious or frustrated and shoot me.
I did not read ayat ul kursi or similar thing because my friend house is next in the street and I almost daily visit the general store which is close to my home and some friends homes which lives near my home, all this was my routine I was not expecting this robbery thing. Saddest thing is both were teen ager boys not professionals. What i comment on these kids nothing but Alas, Sigh!
ADVICE/MORAL:
To All: Read ayat ul kursi 3 times whenever you go out of home and specially on your car, bike too e.g. Always keep some money with you. Always take cheap cellphone with you, costly one should be at your home.
Never ask robbers to return your sim card, cell phone, wallet e.g. here in our area same thing happened to a guy some days ago he asked robbers to return his sim card cz he wanted his contacts # back, those robbers shoot him one the spot and disappeared. The poor guy died on the spot. I also heard similar stories of robbery that robbers shoot the person who ask something to return.
I could beat the gun guy or maybe I could shoot them both after getting their own revolver but my brothers never ever fight with Robbers. If this thing happen to you then please please please never ask them to return anything. There is nothing precious then a human life. I/we can get these things later but once we lost this life we can't get it back!
May Allah save us all! Amen!
"Guys I am jobless right now and after being robbed I urgently need money to buy a new/old cellphone and cash for personal use so thats why I am selling my beloved MSI 9800 GTX + GPU here http://www.pakgamers.com/forums/f64/msi-9800-gtx-over-clocked-105062/ (thread already made many days ago but now i want to sell it on urgent basis). I am not asking any money just saying if any one buy my gpu with decent offer this will help me. Thank you All!"
