I listen to trance a lot. So deep good bass is something I'm looking for.
Isolation is not a major concern to me but can be a plus
It kinda sucks that u can't really tell how good the headphones are without actually listening to them!
Well, if isolations not a major concern, take a look at the px 100-ii by sennheiser. They have a special iPhone model for it too.
For iems, check Klipsch S4 (has iPhone version), Meelec M11+ and Brainwavz M2. I'm not sure about their availability, but they're the best for this price range.
and please tell us that where to get these JVC headphones in Pakistan ?
I believe a guy here sells them. Check the marketplace. I cant recall his name.
OK I have a problem, the headphones are wired and i have no clue how to connect a wired headset to my PS3. Can anyone tell me? I have a crappy old TV (Not HD or Flat Screen) and a FAT 80GB PS3, I have connected it to my PS3 with AV component wires (You know? the Red-White-Yellow Cables) So can anyone plz tell me how i can connect my Headset to a PS3 to hear all the background noise and online chat? Also, These headphones dont have a mic, i want a mic with the headphones
Well, you can search the internet for that. I remember reading this somewhere on some forum. Or, if you can increase your budget by 100usds or so, you can get a mixamp which'll solve your problems. Expensive, yes, but it'll keep you satisfied for a long time. As for a mic, you'll need to buy that separately.
U wont be able to use ur mic unless the headphones connect via USB/bluetooth.
Also you wont be able to simultaneously use voice chat and hear game sound with regular headphones.
U need something like the turtle beach dpx21
The PS3 only transmits game sounds from HDMI/AV/OPTICAL and game chat via BLUETOOTH/USB.
Turtle Beach isnt that good. Its infamous for its cheap build quality and average sound. I wouldnt recommend it.
Hey guys, what are your thoughts on Sennheiser HD-650? I mostly listen to classic rock/ alt. rock so are these a good choice? And do they work well without headphone amps on a good quality sound card?
They're very, very good. However, you'll need a decent amp and a sound card to benefit from them. Why don't you get one of the HD5xx and use the leftover money for an amp?
Cool thread. Hmm no mention of Astros
After much thought over the course of a year I finally settled upon A40 Wireless System by Astro instead of buying a home theater system. I know, I know! simulated surround sound is no match to proper surround sound, but for the price range I was willing to spend in these are a better deal than some mediocre Sony HTIB.

Oh and why aren't you guys posting pictures of your own headsets? Stock images are nice, but real photos are better (even with horrible picture quality)
Haha, I mentioned the Astro mixamp before.
But yea, the A40 is very good for gaming. A bit expensive though.
And I guess no one mentioned the pictures. Oh, well, nows a good time to start then.
