Guys how is A4tech HU-510 ?
any other which i can get in the budget of 2k
which one of these should i get

K518 Limited Edition @ 2500

or

Sony piiq @ 2000
Depends. What do you guys want them for? I'd say go for Koss KSC-75, but that really depends on your preferences.

i think the best headphones in the market at 2k would be the Sony PIIQ...and beats are seriously not worth the money spent as previously stated by several others.
And nah, the PIIQs aren't that good. They're more style, less substance. The Koss cans I mentioned above are waaay better than them and cheaper too. And with a better warranty.

I'm current on a pair of JVC HA-S700. These were bought for 2.4k from a guy on PG.
I used Bose Triports before this and these are almost the same, except the Triports get way louder.
Yea, probably cause the Triports have a low impedance, so they can be powered better by your player.

Getting a few skullcandy's, Senheissers and 2-3 JVC's coming in. Personal collection :p
I'd say drop the Skullcandys. Not worth it.

As im planning to buy the new iPod Touch 5G
My suggestion would be to go for the Cowon J3. Waaaaay better. Or if you dont want touch, then get one of the Sony Walkman. Trust me, iPods aint got nothing over them.

I own "Bose QuietComfort 3 Acoustic Noise Cancelling headphones", they are expensive but the sound quality, specially base is just superb. Sennheiser CX 400 II is also good, one of my mate owns it and It's good in the offered price range.

I am looking to purchase headphones in the near future along with a Xonar DG (Specifically for the Amp). Which headphones would you recommend which fill this criteria:

1) Max Upto $250
2) Heavy Bass
3) Sturdy. (My only beef against Bose headphones).
4) Closed would be preferred but open can be considered.

Sennheiser HD 25-1 II. You can get them for 195 bucks on amazon.
But what do you want them for? What will be your main usage for them? What genres do you listen to the most?

Music, movies and games. I listen to a very diverse collection of music so no one genre applies.

How does it compare with HD598 ?That one is also for $191. or the PC-360?

I am looking for Sth bigger and portability is not a concern.

HD598 has had quality control issues with the plastic breaking. There was a Audio Technica model for around 160$ which was pretty good but forgot its model

Used a pair of Sennheiser HD555 cans for a couple of years before they cracked and broke near one of the ear cans. Upgraded to HD595 and they sufferred the same fate, except faster ;/. Did some research and got hold of a pair of beyer dynamic dt770 premiums which totally blow the hd555/595 out of the water! (rejected dt880 because they are neutral, dt990 because the treble is too over pronounced for my taste).

The next step is getting an amp, saving up money to buy something decent.

i guess you could call me an audiophile, ive been through maybe around 30 pairs of headphones. My worst investment were in Dr Dre Solo Beats. Hate to say it, but for wht ur paying, its shitt. Not only that, but "Skullcandy" in ear headphones (JIB, Smokin' Buds, and INK'D) have all broken on me, and i never used them vigorously. The sound always seems to die for teh right hear, and i prolly wasted around 60 bucks on them. Currently, I have JVC Xtreme Xplosive (HA-S4X) , which i had got from Future Shop for $50. To be down right honest, i like them better then my Solos. Also, since i use transit to get to school and stuff, i bought Sony MDR-EX10LP In-Ear headphones. I go tthem for $20 from Best Buy, and they are worth waaaaaay more then $20 imho.

The PCs won't be as good for music and movies. They're not worth it. The 598 is very good, but it lacks the heavy bass impact of the 25-1 and its not as rugged, plus you'll need a good amp + dac combo to get the most out of it. Get it if you're into classical music. And if you want them more for movies and games than music. The 598s are also more comfortable than the 25-1, which need a bit of breaking in.

Do you mean M50? And that quality control thing is impossible. Its Sennheiser we're talking about man. And even if you do get a faulty pair, they're covered by the 2 year warranty, so thats that.

Nice. The Skullcandys and Beats are a waste of hard earned money, if you ask me. And Sony has decent earbuds for cheap. But the JVC and Meelec ones are better. Just give them a try.

Yep M50. And its the same issue with the 555 and 598 as another member here said. They all seem to crack from the exact same place.

Someone suggested me to check Beyerdynamic and AKG headphones. Any Recs on specific models of either or these?

Yeah that is true but I need specific models to consider. Price doesn;t mean quality and teach of these brands have too many products to go through reviews of each one individually.

Actually, for those brands, it does. Not sure about Denon, but the others are quality audiophile brands. You cant go wrong with them.
