also enable pc rips in iptorrent while you search. you will get cracks
Go for Update 2 and crack 3 fix torrent

Not at all. It takes a LOT of power, plus I have the Advance settings and such ON as well along with TXAA,MSAA what have you.
Although for some reason Nvidias TXAA is greyed out and can't be turned on.
These are my settings on which im getting around 30-34fps now at 1080p

GRHH I've already said it many times. And saying it again.

DON'T DOWNLOAD REPACK VERSION OF GTA V . IT has a bitcoin miner trojan horse in it. They use your GPU to run hashes and GPU will be running @ 99% load while idle.

And the installation never get completed. NEVER !

Few settings I'd recommend you to change...

• Use nVidia PCSS vs Sharp Shadows. They give a better, more realistic look to shadows and doesnt kill GPU resource. [comparison]. Notice how the shadow blurs out as the distance gets higher.

• Use 4X MSAA and you should get TXAA option available. TXAA essentially gives MSAA (times two) result without sacrificing GPU power.

In other words:

2X MSAA + TXAA = 4X MSAA
4X MSAA + TXAA = 8X MSAA
8X MSAA + TXAA = 16X MSAA [which doesnt exist - therefore TXAA is greyed out at 8X MSAA]

In Advance Graphics - you can go all the way to the top with Distance and it should'nt affect your GPU [as long as you use the settings above].


I'm using the ultra settings like you except the changes I highlighted above. Granted my system is a little higher specd than yours [i7 & 16GB RAM] but it should only be a difference of 5 fps. My FPS in city is around 60, and 50 on the open roads with grass around. 40 if im surrounded by grass. [ultra grass + high res shadow is a killer >.<]


These settings are also recommended by nVidia Geforce Experience when you ask the software to give the highest quality compared to optimal settings.

Holy crap, changing to MSAA x4 and TXAA gave a 25fps boost, it went from avg 34 fps to 49fps! Althought I think the Nvidia PCSS actually uses MORE power for me somehow -__-

have a chance to play GTA V on 280X 3GB as well. Game is running at Very High + 4xMSAA + 4xRMSAA + PostFX Normal, these are acceptable very high settings and getting 35-40 avg FPS. gameplay is smooth but few dips while driving in city LS. overall game running quite well even on 280X, this shows how well Rockstar optimize the Game for both NVIDIA and AMD.

in the meantime, i also facing bugs. when changing/switching characters like Micheal to Franklin, game freezes and crashes. sometimes kills itself. so this is kind of weird. game pached with update 2 and v3.

Are you guys also facing same ???

Happened to me also, i fixed it by applying update 1 and crack 4. I know it is weird but my game is working normally again.
Try it.

Invested 24 hours into this game in 4 days and finished the story. Could not put this shit down. My eyes need a break. The story was fantastic; these three characters are the best Rockstar has ever produced.

Surprisingly, 1st Gen i5 still packs one hell of a punch. I was expecting sub-optimal performance given scope and previous track record of GTA games. I am glad that it turned out to be quite the opposite this time around. Max VRAM usage is around 3.7GB total (completely maxed out everything, even the grass slider, FXAA on, TXAA on, MSAA 2x supplemented by MFAA from Nvidia control panel which in essence becomes 4xAA) and last but not the least, adaptive Vsync. Average fps hovers around 45-55 fps, with dips to 30-35 when driving outside the city. Overall, a well optimized port utilizing almost all cores across the board. Played a couple of hours last night and already liking the overall package. Can't wait to see what the author of iCeHanCeR will do with it (sm1), Looking forward to seeing great looking ENB presets that complement the overall visual prowess of the game nicely.

told ya man, any i5 can perform well, generation doesn't matter. not any huge difference among 4 gen in gaming. you can feel difference in Benchmarking application only.

if i am not wrong you got GTX 980. why dont you try 8xMSAA like few post above member post settings combination of TXAA and 4xMSAA. only 4xMSAA still low for your card. and dips are high.
