[h=2]Rockstar is cool with GTA 5 PC mods, and it's bringing video editing to PS4 and Xbox One[/h]

Rockstar isn't against single-player PC mods, and recent game updates that broke mods did so "unintentionally," according to a post today on developer Rockstar Games' official site.

Rockstar says it has "always appreciated the creative efforts of the PC modding community" and continues to do so, despite some unintended consequences.

"To be clear, the modding policy in our license has not changed and is the same as for GTAIV," the post reads. "Recent updates to GTAV PC had an unintended effect of making unplayable certain single player modifications. This was not intentional, no one has been banned for using single player modifications, and you should not worry about being banned or being relegated to the cheater pool just for using single player PC mods."

That doesn't mean that Rockstar doesn't monitor modifications. It does. Just not for philosophical reasons.

"Our primary focus is on protecting GTA Online against modifications that could give players an unfair advantage, disrupt gameplay, or cause griefing," the post continues. "It also bears mentioning that because game mods are by definition unauthorized, they may be broken by technical updates, cause instability, or affect your game in other unforeseen ways."

The developer is also cracking down on multiplayer mods and cheats with a different approach. Rockstar also updated its policy for posting copyrighted material on sites like YouTube to prevent players from teaching about cheating. Now, "anyone who posts videos that encourage and promote ways to cheat your way towards gaining illegitimate RP or counterfeit in-game money or duplicating in-game items without having earned them may have their videos flagged for takedown with YouTube."

The Windows PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5launched April 14, and several mods have been released since. One lets players explore a hidden ghost town, while another recreates the game's smartphone in real life.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is also available on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The PC version shipped with the Rockstar Editor, which lets players make movies, and Rockstar said that it's bringing a version of that to the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game "sometime this summer, or as soon as it is ready."

You can also watch Polygon play with the Rockstar Editor in the video below.

I just finished this game today. IMO, the game is really good, but it's not the best GTA ever made. The story is not as strong as in previous parts. I found GTA San Andreas much more interesting. Even GTA IV with all it's flaws had a better story (and music too!).

Also, When I saw the game occupied 60GBs, I expected a bigger world or at least the same size as san andreas, but I was disappointed to see a world much smaller than San Andreas's world. The gameplay is definitely the best though. I didn't play in FPS mode much cuz for me it takes away the key component from a GTA game that makes it a GTA game. The game doesn't feel like a GTA game in FPS mode.

Overall, I really enjoyed the game. I really hope Rockstar releases the future games on PC at the same time as it does on the consoles. Waiting 2 years for a game to release on PC after consoles is not worth it no matter how good it is.

FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT . I get so infuriated everytime someone says that GTA V is bigger than San Andreas. Sure the attention to details in GTA V is no exception but San Andreas was awesome with it's numerous cheatcodes, unimaginable number of vehicles of all sorts,3 urban cities and God knows how many rural ones .In GTA V it's just one urban city and Sandyshore and few moutain ranges.

I tried the crack version of the game, and I guess its because it's crack,my PC couldn't handle it (Check my PC version,it's not bad,I played it at 1080 on normal settings and was barely getting 60fps) and what sucks is that your FPS greatly effects shooting.I found that if I decreased the graphic options and was able to get 60 fps,the shooting was fine but when i increased it and there was extreme variation in FPS (I wouldn't call it FPS drops) it was just impossible to aim .Driving and flying with keyboard is bad so I just hooked up my 360 controller in and used that when I was in vehicle .
Pleasant ,is it really worth to buy the game ? I have it on 360 and played online for around 4-5 months and I enjoyed it.I liked how you could buy a house, have own garage,do races and I usually watch GTA V gameplays online and I love all the custom races that are made by players but my only issue is that what if I buy the game and the performance issue kicks in and prevents me from enjoying it ?

[h=2]GTA 5 has more ill-gotten gains for you[/h]

Grand Theft Auto 5's latest update brought more fashion, vehicles and weapons into the open-world game this week, according to a post from Rockstar Games.
"A love of the finer things is one of the few ways a career criminal can celebrate success — something the high-end retailers of Rockford Hills and beyond know all too well," the post reads. "With an outbreak of Heists hitting the city recently, merchants have rushed to stock their shelves and showrooms with exotic collectables to accommodate Los Santos’ new class of heavily armed and upwardly mobile professionals."

As an example, Grand Theft Auto Online players can tear through Los Santos in a 400-horsepower off-road luxury vehicle — while listening to a new radio station called The Lab on consoles.
"Hosted by Dr. No and the Chemical Bro., The Lab features new tracks created by The Alchemist and Oh No and inspired by their work on the original score for GTAV, with guest appearances from Killer Mike, Little Dragon, Earl Sweatshirt, Phantogram, Freddie Gibbs and more," the post reads.
Ill-Gotten Gains: Part Two arrived in the game with update 1.28, which hit all platforms and includes a long list of bug fixes and tweaks.
The first Ill-Gotten Gains update arrived in January, brining accessories, skins and vehicles. Grand Theft Auto 5is available for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows PC. Press play below to see us play the new PC version.
