More importunately 4k streaming result is not what render on screen result is, for test I download bunch of 4k gaming videos, played on 55" 4k UHD, then run same game on 4k by pc and its clearly hundred times better compare to 4k videos, that streaming 4k can compete with render on screen 1080p but not with actual 4k.

My point precisely there is always a trade-off, 4k 60 fps but its a VIDEO, not actual render on screen and rest of unavailable feature is in list, which include Mods, graphics enhancer and TV/LCD/LED sync features, as those features only works with on screen render image not with VIDEO, cause no matter its 4k or even 8k its a streaming which never give you crisp of actual thing, yes those whom cant afford 60k or 100k PC or new console every 1-2 year or those whom never had any concern with graphics or game and just want to kill some time can have this service for cheap, its a dream thing for every casual gamer, but its quality is nowhere close to actual gaming setups even at cellphones.

Posting this again for the new page.

The latency concerns are very real.

[h=1]Google Will Absolutely NEVER Release A Game Console[/h]
Google Stadia is the future of the company's gaming endeavors, but according to vice president and general manager Phil Harrison, the notion of a gaming console is firmly in the tech giant's past. According to Harrison, a Google console will never see the light of day, as the company simply has no interest in pursuing that particular corner of the video game market.
Stadia is Google's streaming device, the long-awaited successor to the Project Stream tests the company conducted last year that allowed users to access and play Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Odyssey through the Google Chrome web browser. There are still a lot of unknowns about Stadia, including a price point and the burden the technology may have on users data caps in practice, but it's becoming abundantly clear that it will never be a Google console.

In fact, according to Harrison, a Google console simply won't be happening, period. The long-time veteran of the gaming industry has been an executive at both Sony and Microsoft and has extensive experience with the console market as a result. That's why it was so shocking that, during an interview with GamesIndustry.biz, the face of the Stadia platform was so candid about Google's opinion on console gaming:
"We are absolutely firm that we are not, will not, and will never release a console."

When executives discuss the future initiatives of their tech companies, they're typically a lot more coy about what's on the horizon. Even if there are no plans, teasing it is often safer than outright confirming or denying interest, since it can backfire later. Harrison's vehement assurance that the company will "absolutely" never release a Google console is a strong statement not only about Google's future plans, but about how the company views the future of console gaming as a whole. Of course, Harrison was quick to point out that it's just Google's stance, and that other companies will have to decide for themselves what gaming post-Stadia might look like. Here's what he said when asked about whether the time of consoles is coming to an end:

"That's a question for the console companies. That is not our business. Our business is a streaming platform where the data centre is your platform. What that means for the future of games - and this is not just our point of view, there are others who see streaming as the future - it means that, yes, you democratize any screen and we see being screen-agnostic as the way to play games."
It's interesting to note that Harrison made a point of stating that "others" see streaming as the future. Google has obviously been in talks with a slew of publishers and developers over the course of preparing Stadia for its reveal, and it has obviously integrated a lot of their concerns or feedback into the platform model we see today. It's possible Harrison knows many developers are excited by this prospect and want to work on games built for Stadia specifically - or, perhaps, Harrison still has a decent idea of what's going on at Microsoft, and is merely referring to the fact that the company is gearing up for its own streaming-related E3 announcement later this year.

Whatever the truth may be, there's at least one burning question about Google that we no longer need to ask - there will never be a Google console. The company is all in on Stadia, and that means attempting to carve out its own spot in the gaming industry rather than competing for someone else's.

The Google Stadia Backlash Has Begun:

While people are still grappling with the technical ramifications of Google’s Stadia platform, gamers have begun asking deeper, more troubling questions. What do mods look like in a world of game streaming? What happens to game preservation? What happens if Google dwarfs gaming the same way it has with search, browsers and advertising? And most worryingly of all, what happens if Google decides to walk away from the industry later on?

[h=1]Google to reveal Stadia games, price, and launch details on June 6[/h]

‘Exciting announcement, games, and more’ promised ahead of E3 2019

Google will reveal more about its Stadia gaming platform on June 6, during a livestreamed presentation called Stadia Connect. The company promises launch and pricing details, game reveals, and more, according to the stream’s description on YouTube.
The first Stadia Connect will air on YouTube on Thursday, June 6, at 12 p.m. EDT/9 a.m. PDT, and Google promises it will be the first of a series of streams that give viewers “a look at Stadia news, events, new games, bonus features [and] more.”
“Some news can’t wait for E3,” Google teases. E3 2019 officially kicks off June 11, but game publishers will crowd the days ahead of the show with a series of press briefings and livestreams.
Google unveiled Stadia in March at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. The platform is designed to stream high-end PC games over the internet to a variety of platforms (browsers, computers, TVs, and mobile devices) without the need for a dedicated PC or console. Stadia promises games that can run at 60 fps, with HDR and 4K resolution, and says that fidelity will eventually expand to 8K resolution and frame rates up to 120 fps.
In March, Google showed AAA games like Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and id Software’s Doom Eternal running on Stadia, but did not reveal much about its own exclusive, internally developed software. The company is building its own game development studio with Jade Raymond, formerly of Ubisoft and Electronic Arts, and showed tech demos of new multiplayer capabilities on Stadia.

[h=1]Google Stadia launches November in 14 countries[/h]

Stadia Founder’s Edition will launch in the US, Canada, and 12 European countries

Google Stadia, the tech giant’s game streaming service, will launch in 14 countries in November, the company announced on Thursday. The only way to get Stadia within its early launch is to purchase a Founder’s Edition pack to enable the service, Google said.
The Stadia Founder’s Edition will include a Chromecast Ultra, which supports the 4K gameplay that Google is promising; a limited-edition “midnight blue” controller; a three-month Stadia Pro subscription, plus one voucher to give the same subscription to a friend; and the ability to reserve a Stadia username early, which is tied to the user’s Google account. The Founder’s Edition will launch in United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland. It retails for $129.99 in the United States; full country-specific pricing can be found on the G-Store, which is the only place Google is selling it.

The Founder’s Edition also grants players free access to Destiny 2 and all its existing expansions. Google confirmed 30 games available during “the launch window,” includingDoom Eternal and Baldur’s Gate 3.
The limited country rollout — and lack of broad retail partnerships — signals that this may be a way for Google to test Stadia’s limits at the start. It’s promising all games will run in 4K resolution, 60 fps, with HDR support and with 5.1 surround sound, and such low latency that they are playable over Wi-Fi. The free version of Stadia’s services — 1080p at 60 fps with stereo sound — isn’t due to launch until 2020.

Only time will tell how this works out. I'm not excited abt the whole purchase your own games thingie. Say I alrdy have a game purchased on steam (playing on my own hardware), so i will now need to purchase it again to play it on the go. Might take sometime convincing people, if it works as advertised.

Your connection is great. Based on your current download speed of 176.703 Mbps, we expect you’ll have a high-performance gaming experience on Stadia. Go back to the Google Store.

This thing is going to fail and google will simply shutter it like it has tons of its services. Reasons
1. Games have to be bought upfront to be played in addition to the upfront + $10 recurring cost. This is not like netflix where a single fee gets access to all content no individual purchase necessary. This is almost retarded on Google's side.
2. All games, despite the fact you have paid for them will only be playable online (as it is an online service)
3. How many PC players will have the urge to play across multiple platforms?
4. Then there is this pro/founder's ed (looks like Nvidia's PR is now working for Google) with base coming 'later' in 2020. Only adds to confusion.

THe only use scenario is someone who has a sub-par PC and a great internet connection looking to get some eye candy action.

It seems google learned nothing from the industry. PS Now was similar at launch and did not have traction until it changed into a more netflix like model. Now for $100 per year PS Now subscribers can play anyone of the 750 games in the library.
