Achievements List:

Gameplay & Features:

Profile Import:

Inspired by the Mass Effect franchise players can import their Forza Motorsport 3 profiles into Forza Motorsport 4, giving them the ability to transfer a certain amount of in-game credits and gifted cars into their new garage. The amount allowed transferred is based on how long they have played the game and how many cars and credits they have.

Auto-Vista:

Autovista allows the player to walk around/navigate and explore inside their vehicle using Kinect. The player could point at certain features, such as headlights, wheels and the engine, for further information about vehicle. The Autovista feature is not limited to Kinect users only, and ican be used by a regular Xbox 360 controller.Autovista was originally designed to allow players to get up close to cars within a sub 6 inch level, where brake pads, and small details became visible. Not all cars in the the game will support the Autovista feature, as it is primarily for sports cars, classic cars, and dream cars.

Kinect Driving:

When using Kinect, the game will automatically accelerate and decelerate your vehicle, a feature known as "auto brake" in Forza 3, and the steering would be done by either a controller or by movement of the players hands.Whilst the game supports head tracking, players can use a controller and Kinect at the same time. Steering will be done by the controller and the Kinect picks up head movement.

Kinect Voice Hyer-Linking:

Kinect will also allow the player to use audio commands to start races and navigate menus. For e.g if you want to paint your car you can simply say "Kinect Paint Car" and it will go to the paint car menu.If you are done painting your Car and want to play a race you give a command and the game will save your paint work and go straight to the race menu. This is pretty effective in Forza where it has deep levels in a Menu.

Graphical Upgrades:

Since Forza is a Sim-Racer which has splendid visuals in HD coupled with a consistent frame rate of 60 FPS the developers of Turn 10 decided to push the envelope in terms of visuals.A lightning called the 'Image baes lightning' has been used in Forza 4.This creates perfect reflections, and would better immerse the car in the environment both when racing on a track or in the garage or Top Gear gear studio when viewing a car.For e.g. racing at 'ALPS' would enable the player to see the reflections of sunlight and snowy mountains including accuarte soft shadows onto the cars surface. For various surfaces in and outside the car multiple shaders were developed so they can give a specific material a near realistic feel.

World Tour Mode:

Like Forza 3, there will be a career mode for players to complete, which sees players racing at multiple locations around the world. This is known as World Tour Mode in Forza 4, previously known as Season Play in Forza 3. However, one new feature that appears in Forza 4 is the game's ability to adapt the difficulty as the player progresses through the career, and collect a trend of data to see how well they perform. This will allow AI drivers to change and upgrade their cars automatically to suit the player's driving abilities. There are several types of races besides standard racing like in Forza 3. Forza 4 will include the original bumper to bumper races, but will also have Drift, Autocross, and multiple-heat races. Unlike in Forza 3 where players had no choice over which car they won at the end of each race, in Forza 4 players will be able to choose from three cars as a prize.

Multi-player Mode:

Forza 4 will support 16 player online racing and will also support the recently revealed 'Car Football' and 'Car Bowling' mode.

Creating Car Clubs:

More known content was leaked during IGN's visit to E3 2011, which revealed that there will be the option to create car clubs and share garages within that club and if a player does wants to a race in a specific car which he/she does not own they can get it from anyone in the form of 'sharing'.

Addition Of New Tracks:

A new track known as "Alps" which is a fictionalized version of the real 'Alps' will be featured in Forza 4,also including the "Hockenheimring"and "Infineon Raceway" will be available, adding two more real world tracks to the Forza series. The game will also feature full weather control, time of day variations, and temperature variations, all are displayed in the loading menu before starting a race. Players can adjust these settings prior to running the race.

Partnership with ALMS:

Turn 10 is officially partnered with the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) for two years from 8 August 2011. The partnership will provide several in-game ALMS themed events to complement the cars and tracks raced in the ALMS present in previous entries in the Forza Motorsport series.

Limited Collectors Edition:

Players who buy the Limited Collector's Edition will have a polished Steelbook case, with the 2012 BMW M5 as the cover car. As well as a regular copy of the game, they will receive a V.I.P. car pack, including the Buggati VeyronSuper Sport; a 10-car 'American Muscle Car Pack', also available on XboxLive on launch day; a pre-order exclusive 'Ship Bonus Car Pack', including the KoienseggAgera and TeslaRoadster Sport; a 5-car 'BMW Designer Car Pack' featuring 5 BMWs with unique exterior designs, including a BMW M6 designed by an entrant in the M6 designing competition. This pack will also be available on launch day, along with a free download of the 2012 BMW M5 and a BMW theme for the Xbox dashboard. As well as all this, Collector's Edition owners will be given a 96-page volume entitled 'Cars of Forza Motorsport 4 Presented By Top Gear', written by the editors from Top Gear magazine.

Microsoft Wireless Speed Wheel:

Top Gear Partnership:

Turn 10 has entered a multiple year partnership with the BBC's Top Gear. The content provided by the BBC's BAFTA award-winning television show Top Gear, will include narration from presenter Jeremy Clarkson during the virtual showroom (Autovista) navigation. The game will also feature the Top Gear Test Track at Dunsfold Aerodrome, near the village of Cranleigh, UK. The first in-game demo of Jeremy Clarkson in Autovista was revealed at E3 2011. An extra piece of content for Top Gear fans is the addition of the reasonably priced car, the KiaCee'd. At E3, players were able to complete laps of the Top Gear Test Track and record their own times. The Top Gear test track in Forza 4 will also feature authentic camera angles during replays. The game will also feature Top Gear "Car Football" as part of the World Tour Mode, and also a Top Gear bowling mini game, both set on the official Top Gear test track. The Top Gear studio will also be included in the game as a feature for Autovista, and part of the "Home Space" when viewing a car. The studio has the original TV series cars on plinths, such as the destroyed Toyota Hilux and Jeremy's Fiat police car with boadiceas as seen in Series 11, Episode 1, and all of the original Top Gear logos, Stig posters, and lighting arrangements, that reflect off the paintwork of the car you are viewing, similar to how they would on the real Top Gear show.

Since Autovista won't include 'all cars' does any one have the idea how many of them will be available in the autovista mode?

I just hope they somehow add support for Logitech wheels.
The Fanatecs are kinda expensive and MS's wheel isn't priced right either.

Why isn't the usual sim racing dudes on PG posting here yet?
Anyone seriously gearing up for Forza4?

By gearing up, I mean proper wheels and stuff. Any availability of Fanatec wheels in Karachi? I almost bought a G25 then decided to pass on the offer given 360's lack of support for it. Anyone else with any plans?

^Don't turn this into flamewar!

Have you even played GT 5 or even prologue?

Anyway, Forza has a special place in my heart :p

This be the game which got me into sim racing (Forza 2 to be precise)

This particular one seems to be doin' everything right so far.

@Shyber, well i have sold both my consoles lol, so i won't be 'gearing up' for this or any other console sim this gen, Hammad800 is mostly inactive latley, he too is fed up of these console sims i think (judging by his latest posts in pc section :D)

The only wheel compatible with both PS3 & 360 is that fanatec one & yea it is expensive but most importantly it is hard to find.

The 360's official wheel is your best bet for this one imo..downside being it is only compatible with the 360 (sm1)

Btw you can played it with Kinect with out the need for wheels or controllers 'cause remeber what M$ says.."YOU ARE THE DAMN CONTROLLER, WHEEL & EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN"

Did someone call me? :D I haven't played anything lately on any platform since my room's roof was getting repaired so both the consoles have been packed. And just a few days ago my computer's damn motherboard failed so that's gone for warranty claim. I'm looking forward to playing f1 2011 more than forza 4. Haven't played forza 3 nor gt5 ever since I started playing gtr2 and rfactor. They are good simulators. Not expecting much from forza 4 in terms of realism though but overall I think it'll be a fun game to play as was forza 3.

Realism? Nah! Looks to be the same ol' Snorza gameplay wise!

What i like in this one is that it is much more diverse now, they are finally expanding it, thats a start! (sm1)

That MS wheel is crap.
Fanatec, on the other hand seems like a really interesting product. I've told my cousin to look around for it in Dubai, if he finds it, I'd be getting it.

And a racing sim with motion controllers. Wow. I don't know what to even say about that

GTR2 and rfactor - I think I can't get back to those visuals again. Though they don't offer similar levels of realism, Forza and Gran Trusimo add in a lot of "zing" to their games ;)

Like always, ppl (even their gamers) have to deal with all the crap from m$!! :p

Fanatec is awesome though, it is rated better the G 25, close to G 27 in ratings infact!

Check this if you haven't already! It covers all the popular wheels!

It's a bit old vid though, the behemoth from Thrustmaster 'T500RS' is not included in this comparison.

To me, what matters is the actual racing and gtr2 does that brilliantly. Add to it the 15-20gb worth of downloadable cars and tracks and it makes gt5 and forza 3, to me, look like games that just want to make tons of cash by trying to add stuff to appeal to the masses rather than working on the damn AI and making the racing better!

P.S. If I make no sense in any of my post, it's due to lack of sleep :D

Clearly the 'real' in your driving simulation has a totally different meaning then :p
