With the added enhancements, native 4K and higher frame rates, this gonna make the Pro verison look like the pocket edition :p

According to a source, FF XV requires a whopping 170GB of free space on your hard disk. Probably due to more videos, tessellation, and gameworks from nvidia.

Also, the recommended graphics card is 1080Ti. Overall, the specs requirements are pretty damn high.

Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition Requires 170GB of Space; 1080Ti Recommended @4K

dont worry buddy 170gb or 1080ti isnt a big deal in world of PC gaming :D . just like for ps4 owners ps4 pro is a normal purchase , and ofcorse they will mean 60fps 4K NATIVE with hariworks etc etc..

not 30fps 4K nor dynamic or checkboard etc. so 1080ti seems fair its for 80% of the games not just this.

It's NVIDIA gameworks involve plus other enhancements/features, and on that, recommending 1080Ti to community, is NVIDIA's an honest business, not surprisingly new. As they have done in past and still are doing, but there will be 4K texture, which would required a meaty graphics unit to handle it properly and smoothly, and to deliver at healthy FPS.

While I do have concern on the 170GB, and this is almost 200GB. Was reading somewhere on the hard disk space requirement, FF XV in 170GB space is 29 Skyrims and 3 GTA 5. Well, the official requirements are usually overstated, but looking at the features and inclusions of 4K texture might be the cause. I hope this ultra 4K texture pack will be optional.

The minimum requirement for 4K and 1080p would tell how well optimized this game will be.

@JANARIOO So your next upgrade would be a 1080Ti :)

A measly 1060 gtx should play this 1080/ultra/60 fps! (Minus gameworks)

Sadly, no version of FFXV can fix the game's fundamental issues. The insane amount of animation priority and the all-over-the-place camera make the combat terrible to deal with. It actually makes The Witcher 3's combat feel half-decent lol.

Apparently, the 170GB download size was a miscommunication.
Let's not say things we can't take back in the future :p

TBH FFXV's combat is about as simple as you can get, you just hold the circle button down for attacks, the only real-time input is dodging being aware to the surrounding so you can find the right 'hang spots' to recharge the stamina instantly, even the summons are 'random' so that's also a factor that you can't control real time. Having played FFXII recently, FFXV is like 'baby's first FF' in terms of game play. FFXII has you managing minuscule things like AI routines for 6 party members, they're a world apart.

lol true :p

It's mainly the crazy animation priority in FFXV that bothers me the most. Half of the time, Noctis just keeps getting pushed or thrown around. But yeah, I should probably stick to dodging. FFXII's MMO-style combat was way more strategic, especially with the whole Gambit system thing. The Xenoblade series is more in-line with that.
