MULTI Final Fantasy XV - Four more Episode DLCs coming in 2019

Final Fantasy 15 will be released sometime in 2016, game director Hajime Tabata confirmed during a panel at PAX Prime in Seattle today. Tabata said he wanted to clarify that release window to fans after making slightly vague comments about Final Fantasy 15's release date at Gamescom earlier this month.
Tabata didn't have any more specifics about the game's release date, but announced that Square Enix plans to hold a "special event" in March 2016 where the game's release date will be officially revealed.


The director also offered a progress report on gameplay systems and features coming to Final Fantasy 15, which ranged from the game's various cameras to AI behavior, monsters, combat and user interface. Those features were reportedly somewhere between 30 percent and 80 percent complete.
Tabata also provided an update on the game's driving mode, in which players will explore the vastness of Lucis in the car known as the Regalia. Players will have the option to drive the Regalia or simply kick back and enjoy the ride as a passenger. A scenic view will give players the opportunity to enjoy the roadside scenery, and players can get out of the car at any point in their ride to explore their surroundings on foot. Tabata warned that the Regalia can run out of gas, at which point players will have to get out and push it to the nearest filling station (or call in some help).
Final Fantasy 15 is bound for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Square Enix is working on a simultaneous global release for the role-playing game.

But they changed the game so much from cutting Stella from the game, to changing story. I'm not THAT excited anymore.

It will probably will come on PC, seeing as Square enix is now brining FF games to PC now, but most likely after it gets released on the consoles.

Final Fantasy fans who don't want to wait until September to get their hands on Final Fantasy 15 can download a new demo for the role-playing game right now. Square Enix released the new "Platinum Demo" for Final Fantasy 15 today, and it's available now from the PlayStation Store and Xbox Games Store.
The free download lets players take control of Final Fantasy 15 protagonist Noctis when he was just a child. The dream-like demo offers a unique storyline; Square Enix says the demo's content won't be in the final version of the game.


Final Fantasy 15's Platinum Demo lets RPG fans control Noctis "as he masters various weapons, magic skills and driving," Square Enix said in a release. They'll get help from Carbuncle, a recurring summon in the Final Fantasy series, who serves as young Noctis' "magical guide." A trailer for the newly released demo can be watched above.
Players who complete the demo will get exclusive access to Carbuncle in the final version of the game when it launches. Final Fantasy 15 hits PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Sept. 30. The game's Platinum Demo is available for download from the PlayStation Store and Xbox Games Store.

Those visuals are insane!

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The two games that have really pushed the graphical bar on current-gen consoles thus far are Uncharted 4 and Final Fantasy XV.

Its embarrassing for me to say that I've never played any FF game ever. For some strange reason I've never been inclined to try out any entry in the series. But FF XV looks mindbogglingly lush... Would it be alright if I try this one out ? Can someone fill me in on the combat and story arc.

Nope, you're not allowed to try this. Only true FF fans that have played at least 5 previous games can play this game.

The only final fantasy I've played and ended was FFVIII. I'm not very fond of turned based combat though, let's see what this new one brings to the table. Is it real-time combat or still using turn based ?

I'm more impressed by the song in the trailer by anything else, awesome that they got florence and the machine to do it. They should just make it the main theme song for the game.

It's basically real-time combat, sadly you can't control anyone other than the main guy.

Can't say I've been more excited for a game release in the past years. They're leaving no stone unturned! Movie, Anime, Mobile and of course the game itself with the demo already live. Unbelievable. I guess this one's a make or break Square Enix game. A marriage of Science, Fiction and Fantasy. Damn I'm so intrigued.

Been interested in this ever since it was announced as FF13 Versus, and after so so SOOOOOOOO MANY YEARS, finally the time is near. Trailer looks great and the visuals are very pretty from what I've seen so far.

Need to get a PS4.

Nope. Every FF entry is individual and has its own story, universe, characters etc. Only the sequels of a numbered entry continue the story, like FF 13, then FF 13-2 etc.

I myself have only played two FF games and I wished I had known about this series way before cause majority of its parts are too old for me to play now.

    Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
