Played the Beta last night (PS3 version) I would say that those screens (posted in this thread) showing how ugly it looks on the ps3 are exaggerated maybe some compressed images or something but the game doesn't look that ugly on the PS3 though there are some aliasing issue but it doesn't look that worse as the images linked few pages back.

I played it for 30mins or so, and having played borderlands 2 for extensive hours with a few PG mates I couldn't help myself to not relate the game with borderlands 2. Borderlands 2 was a fantastic game with hours of content and co-op fun, this game has somewhat the same formula but its way bigger and feature rich than borderlands.

First off the areas aren't closed corridors, huge wide open areas. Good thing we can summon the hover bike at any point ..would be awesome if we could upgrade it to a better one or a badass looking one in the full game.
Gun fights are far more fluid and engaging than borderlands 2, I have yet to try any other gun than the first two guns we get in the initial stage but still the shooting was much better than borderlands 2.

The environments are great, from open areas to abandoned caves or buildings they capture the moment perfectly.

I am impressed so far, lets see what more it has gonna play it today.

Nah, I was playing it on a borrowed PS4.

the fact that one can download the complete game while Xbox One sleeps is pretty cool. i lol'ed at a few friends who had left their console ON the entire time. u know who u are

so like i tired the game for abt 5mins after sehri and the intro was awesome. the game feels like second nature but thats prolly coz of my extensive time with halos. will post my proper impressions after spending some extensive time with it tonite

I had to keep mine on almost all the time because my glorious PTCL was disconnecting very frequently and I'm not sure if download resumes after connection is broken in standby mode.

it does actually. i accidentally restarted my router last nite and still the game was done sometime before sheri. the download is only disturbed if u have a power loss at the console side since xbox one doesn't go back into standby mode.

I am starting to get good at PVP Crucible matches.

Hunter Class: Green Gear (142 Defense) Scout Rifle, Sniper Rifle, Rocket Launcher.

Its funny how this game wasnt even on my radar until all the hype Alpha created. I now can not imagine a life without Destiny. August will be a bad month for me.

Does game has the best skies ever in the gaming world or what? I can't wait to see it on a PS4, the sights in the PS3 version have already sold me the game (next-gen one). I am dead set on buying a next-gen console when this game releases. Do not fall for the websites claiming the game to be shit on the ps3, I know what a shit port is...I have played CoD-Ghosts on the PS3... nuff' said.

I played more of it last night, I am playing with a Warlock class reached level 4 so far weapons are a bit under-powered esp when you get to fight those Captains I usually throw that warp grenade and clear up the rest with the shot gun. The ammo drop ratio is pretty tight as well, often find myself scavenging for ammo. If they could make the dropped items a bit more prominent THAT WOULD BE GREAT! Or maybe its just the PS3 version? The primary weapon ammo drops are in white and its hard to look for in snowy terrains. A vertical beacon above the dropped stuff would be perfect.

I had this awesome encounter last night, a fallen with the YELLOW health bar spawned on the map I was joined by a fire team of three other guys (level 8 guys) we weren't able to bring it down even after raining bullets on it. It went in stealth mode and then vanished leaving us with 0 ammo

BTW is there any sort of weapon customization in this game? Sights, grips and powered ammo?

Well I have concluded that this game would be best played with a fire team, a solo run is fun but if you end up in a swarm of the fallen it becomes a bit difficult.
@USUF what weapon fusion are you talking about? I have only played it for roughly 2-3 hours so far....

[MENTION=656]r3aper[/MENTION] Looks like you're not too far into the game yet. The best thing to do is to do a mission then swing by the tower immediately. Visit the weapon smith and cryptarch for awesome rewards. The cryptarch is one who deciphers your engrams for rewards. Every engram contains some reward in the form of armor or weapons. Additionally, you can even purchase fresh engrams from him to earn rewards.

And you seriously must watch/play this on a PS4 or Xbox One because the visuals are just on another level on both. Surprisingly amazing parity of visuals between both consoles too.

Last night it was me, [MENTION=218]CerebralTiger[/MENTION] and [MENTION=4374]Journeys End[/MENTION] on a strike mission and it was easily the highlight of the night. The game is just fun. Pure fun.

yeah that devil's lair mission was a lot of fun. plus the crucible match where the game accidentally put me in the opposite team had its moments too like,
