Not only is it locked at 30fps, but the native rendering resolution is also locked at 1024x720.

Already called the internal resolution restriction long time ago, so no surprises there. Hopefully modders can do something about it.

Not only that, I think the game will be running at the internal res of the console versions (1024x720) and will be upscaled to 1280x720.

I wouldn't say you 'called it'. The initial story suggested that the game was locked at the same resolution as the console versions. However, there were further reports claiming the game was seen running at native 1080p at E3. This update puts all such reports to rest.

Oh man... Artorias looks so freakin sick, I want that guys armor! His moves are almost like The Great Wolf Sif's which isn't a surprise since the wolf was Artorias' companion.

Other than that, we'll also be seeing Hawkeye Gough and maybe Lord's Blade Ciaran but I've heard a rumor that she's already dead, even in the DLC but hey, who knows?

Looks like we'll be seeing all of Gwyn's four knights at the end of this. I think Hawkeye Gough is gonna be that Van Helsing looking guy in the trench coat with the top hat. He's in the artbook and we also see him for a sec in the trailer but only as a Black Phantom and he does some epic sweep kick.

This DLC takes place in Oolacile back when it wasn't destroyed by an unknown evil (guess that was Artorias). I'm sure the entrance or the time warp or whatever takes place at the place where you save Dusk of Oolacile.

Man, I can't wait for this to release on consoles.

They only suggested a 720p resolution lock. I accurately stated the internal resolution would be sub-HD, even if the upper limit is 1280x720 (720p). Regarding 1080p, this was the first news:

Just watched From Software change the resolution of Dark Souls PC to 1080p. Game of show.

Nowhere does it suggest that the native resoution is 1080p as well. So yeah, pretty much called it months ago.

You can make-believe that I read that before making a comment here but this was shaping up to be a dreadful port all along. Not everyone needs neoGAF to figure things out y'know lol. The developers comment on this being a barebones port was enough to suggest that.

Just wanted to correct this. The frame rate is not unlocked. Not only is it locked at 30fps, but the native rendering resolution is also locked at 1024x720.

I couldn't bear the difficulty of dark souls within the first 10 minutes. Hate how that fat butt monster beats me in 10 seconds.

Yeah probably that's the green but jail monster you're guessing. I got beaten like four times and then the psychological effect 'this game is too difficult' came over and i quit working a way around his butt.

Dragon's dogma got too difficult on 'the last battle'. It just pissed me how much difficulty they put just on the last quest. As if the game wasn't repetitive and boring already. The travels killed me.

Yeah right. I was at level 47 assassin but even after 1.5 hours of tough fight, the draco defeated me. That's when I realized the importance of a shield and switched to knight. Beat him in 30 mins the next time.

You killed him at level 7 lol! The poor drake didn't even stand a chance. Talk to me when you kill it head to head with an un-touched level 1 Pyromancer. (sm1)

All the dragons have been killed, except for the Stone Dragon in Ash Lake, he's the Everlasting Dragon. You also encounter two Dragon corpses in the game. They aren't healthy dragons, they look like they've seen better days. They can puke poison and claw at you if you go near but I wouldn't count them as Dragons in my book. They seem too pathetic and war torn.

All the dragons have been wiped out by either Gwyn or his followers, Ornstein is infamous for killing dragons, I read in an item description that he has killed over a thousand dragons, hence he was given the title Dragonslayer. There is also Havel the Rock, whom I believe should get the award of Most Badass Dragon Kill cuz he once killed a Dragon and is now using one of its tooth as a weapon and that tooth is bigger than Havel, imagine the dragon that he got it from. D:

Drakes are the distant descendents of dragons, only a few grow up to be as large as real Dragons. The only other confirmed Dragon in Dark Souls other than the Stone Dragon will appear in the Artorias of The Abyss DLC; The Black Dragon!

No, I'm sure he's talking about the Asylum Demon.

lol level 9 knight? You must've whaled on him with your Claymore or Drake Sword. Talk to me when you beat him with an unleveled Cleric. (sm1)
