Finally got hotspot shield to work on Connect. trick is to start HSS before you connect thru the dialer...

issue is almost ALL sites can be accessed that way except youtube... and even if you can access it (its random) you can get IDM to work on videos...

thoughts?

Hey guys need advice so I have PTCL 4Mb BB , One Nitro Device and Nitro Cloud , (BB and Nitro Device is working ok ) , but Nitro cloud for the last couple of weeks only giving 0.11 Mbps many cloud user are facing this problem , So price of Nitro cloud is also 3k, I was wondering will it be good idea to change nitro cloud with Connect Purple ? I really need good uploading speed .

im on connect red 4 mb and get 350kb/s on torrents in day time and 400+ in happy hours , it really depends on the seeders so lets not count torrents , im surprised no one even considered this fact

direct downloads from idm are around 400-500 kb/s normally and around 400-600+ in happy hours

during happy hours ive got 2mb on downloading.

U are lucky than... Even with multiple torrents i never crossed 200KBps during normal hours

alright guys i am a frustrated user of ptcl and i am going to be disconnecting it at the 1st of july, and i was looking for some new internet, and i was referenced here. so basically its just a question for anyone out here who plays Wow, LoL or Dota 2 on connect and is a moderate downloader, i want to ask how is the latency on it? and how is the stability of internet. cause back 9-10 years ago i used to have connect in north nazimabad but i left it because connect all of a sudden went in a bad service provider and i switched to ptcl. so now when i see you guys posting here mentioning speeds its kinda unbelievable to me but even then i would to hear out any of the connect users here and tell me if it would be a smart move to switch to connect and i wont be regretting it later. thank you ^^

connect red is at 1500rs , 4mb and provides speed range from 350-550 on normal downloads , im getting pings of 90-180 on us server on a game on half life 2 sdk "no more room in hell" on usa / Europe servers

not only in that game but in most games the pings are usually under 200 which is not noticeable

you have to understand its the old switch system. THis way you get good speeds/pings most of the time but during peak usage hours your pings/speeds are definitely gonna suffer. Ive noticed pings on all international servers go up between 5pm-9pm slot, plus random spikes during weekends/holidays, all those instances when no. of uisers is high.

otherwise its beautiful. Even tho i was sometimes getting 70-90ms pings on ptcl recently (DOTA 2 SEAsia servers) but that was rare and very late into the night.

Just make sure you dont go above COnnect Red, it looses its cost/benefit value..

5pm-9pm thats my sleep time xP i usually wake up around 12 - 1 night and then i am up till 3 or 4 in the afternoon and thats the time when i play my games, due to my friends from different regions logging at those timings its kinda perfect for me u know ^^

I think it does.. I do use WiFi at my cousin's place who has connect with 1MBPS.

I was about to get connect, but as it turns out, they don't supply connection in my area

yes i think it does...they even give you a wifi modem with your connection (extra charge I think)... where are you exactly in PECHS? their head office is near tariq road I think they supply in an around a 6-8 km radius...
