As i said MCB-LITE is best when used with MCB ACCOUNT. MCB LITE Link with MCB ACCOUNT and works like charm! (as far as VISA services are concerned)
Are you charged PKR 50when you transfer funds from MCB account to Lite?
Are you charged any service charges for your MCB account?
Do you have any other MCB cards?

No it doesn't work on play store...only mcb lite works on playstore..and obviously all the credit cards in Pakistan
Which credit cards work online apart from SCP? I would be better off applying for one from Bank Al Habib or JS if they do work. Sadly, customer service at these banks have 0 knowledge about it.

faysal bank works. You can get others activated for limited time periods. Like Al-falah charges 100 rupees everytime you activate it for online use, but scares you with all sorts of in your face/ your fault stuff. Silk bank can also be activated for online use, though i do not know if they charge for it (or otherwise)

Oh, and yes MCB Lite works. I have used it on Steam, services that use goolge wallet. Basically you will need to get it activated for online use. It is one time activation, no charges, but they will also give you its your fault etc BS

I'm using scb to transfer to mcb lite works every time

I have tried to send money from my account in Askari Bank and Dubai Islamic Bank both say transfer is successful but MCB Lite shows nothing. I got my money refunded after I logged a complaint. I guess I will have to go to a branch to deposit money into my account.

When it comes to paying bills, buying topup online, or sending money to someone's bank account, you can do these with ALL banks these days. MCB, HBL, SCB, Allied, etc. they all have internet banking that do these things. The only differentiator is the ability to use the card online. I have only used MCB Lite. Do I like it? I think it is one of the shittiest services on earth, but it does work for online transaction. And that's the only thing it is good for. Transfering money from others banks to it is a big fucking headache. Sometimes you can't send money from it to some banks.. It is a chaos. Buy Lite only if you want to use it for like credit card payments at places like Amazon, Playstore... etc. Never have used SCB, so can't comment on it.

^ spot on. One thing though, only MCB Lite allows you to buy 100rs topup, all other banks start with 250rs. :D

Go for MCB (You will probably gonna need a BIG Sifarish or 50000-100000 PKR to open up an account in SCB)
MCB Account opening Charges are Nil, However
CHEQUE BOOK CHARGES 350.00
CARD ISSUANCE FEE - GOLD PLUS 1,000.00 (ANNUALLY)
FEDERAL EXCISE DUTY TAX (ONCE) 150.00
ACC MAINT: CHRG INCLUSIVE FED (MONTHLY) 50.00
MOBILE BANKING FUND TR CREDIT 850.00
MCB LITE CARD ISSUANCE FEE - GOLD 1160.00 (ANNUALLY 1000.00)
MCB Lite with MCB account works like a charm, Lite works on almost all the online shopping stores.. I agree with Fayaz bhai.. their Support sucks.. They have the shittiest services but it is better for a student (like me) to shop online..

Why the hell all these bank accounts are charing so much money for a simple account? Standard Charted these days is acting like a total f*cktard. Absolutely no lift to people with low income. If a student goes to open up a bank account, they behave either like 'we don't exist', or treat us like we are beggers. They have also closed A LOT of their branches, so that shows they have other plans (like only keeping 'high profile' customers). Also take into account that recent hacking attempt of ATMs.

The needs are getting stronger these days, so i was thinking of getting my own bank account. Have absolutely no info, and am short on time so can't sit and search.

Simple, open an account in one of the sheikh bank like Faysal or Alfalah for "banking" purpose and get yourself MCB Lite for online transactions. Lite 0 is very limited, if you want to operate the Lite like an actual ATM card you'll have to get it upgraded to Lite 2.

did you try setting up Google Payments? For UBL you may have to get it enabled for internet transactions, Naya should work without it!

I tried both NayaPay, and UBL, but I keep getting "correct country selected..." error. I already have PK set there 🤦‍♂️

Did y'all see the new Assassin's Creed trailer? They finally made a AC set in Japan & then they put a negro as the male protagonist. Ubisoft is taking cues from Disney, and it isn't gonna end well for them, just like Disney. Go woke, go broke!
