people still care but its the new generation that doesnt care to know and our elders dont care to tell, when i was little the whole day we would see different programs on TV, all giving different information regarding 6th september but nowdays they dont really care, just show an old drama and thay have done thier duty.

we should know about our history, we are so worried about our future that we are forgetting our past and our values.

I know everything is wrong in our country but i still pray that Allah make pakistan on of the greatest nations in the world and Long Live Pakistan

Back then it was the whole Nation united against the enemy. Now I am not sure if we'll ever be united again even in a situation like this.

My Grand Father was the head of artillery at that time. He says we should have easily won the war! not only that but we should have atleast captured vast indian land because the indians were running scared. At that time Pakistan was Technologically much better then india and we had (American support) yes india was a kinda pro-russian country at that time. Our tanks were one of the best at that time but incapable pakistani's. We could have easily captured ground in india but were unable to do so because we didn't scout first and our tanks were unable to cross 'Nala' ..

I think it would help if you read other views, some good ones have been written by ex-Pakistani military men, and not the garbage they teach in Pakistan Studies/etc in schools.

sigh, saw this coming,
cant say you're wrong, but its defense day, our forces fought and defended the nation, and the fact that Pakistan still exists is reason enough to call it a victory,

It was not a complete victory as we suffered severe losses but the Army fought Valiantly that day on Lahore Front

If it wasnt for them laying down their life we might not have Lahore to call a part of Pakistan today

I remember when i was kid i use to watch ptv dramas with my mother. still remember those dramas which were made on Rashid Minhas and Major Azeez Bhatti Shaheed.
Long live Pakistan Army. I love Pak Army it was my dream and wish to join Pak Army.
