I thought this thread was long gone.

And I still get intimidated/heartbroken/butthurt when I see the girl I used to like,(I just say that to comfort myself, still like her; she's my classfellow) with some other guy in uni.

F**K love,crushes etc. Seriously.
Did she reject you? :p

well,

apart from the crushes and episodes in life those have too many meanings for so many people
if some one asks me what is 'Real love' is i would say ..
Real love is the reason why you can't even imagine of losing/Parting/Not achieving some one who is your chosen...
it is the reason that no matter what happen you just can't lose that person and just can't live without that person...
it is the reason why any other person in the world can't take the place of that chosen person in your life...
it is the power which can make a person sacrifice almost anything...
it is the impulse which drives you to achieve that person no matter the cost...
it is the thrust which can drive you to do the things which you never thought you would do..
it is the thirst through the power which can make even the most powerful man break, shatter and cry..

only the person who is influence by Real love truly can know what it is.. all the rest would look at that person influenced as insane as it really does drive you insane
Real love is always Powerful beyond boundaries..
mostly people don't have real love.
it's a Grace because it's Pure but it's Pain because it is an exam.
the Pain is unbearable if you are deprived..
but no matter what the cost of the effort and pain,, Fighting for it till the end is 'Worth it'.

And loosing someone like that literally destroys you. Speaking from experience.

Anyways I thought I'd post a serious post here for once.

I have this theory I'd like to share with you guys, tell me what you think.

Theory is, the way our society is structured right now is quite dangerous for our youth, we're stuck between following the west and being Muslims.

Scenario 1:
We live in a completely Muslim society, mutual respect for the other sex, early marriages, emphasis on education, other traditional islamic teachings.

Scenario 2: We live in a completely western society, very late marriages, sex before marriage bla bla.

And the way our society is structured is kind of inbetween those two "cultures" and as a result any path you choose is just painful.

1) Have gfs and bfs leads to inner guilt and societal pressure BUT you cant not have relationships because it is human nature.
2) Marry off your children early but then we have this misconception that marriages lead to problems with education of women because you have early children etc none of which is necessary really, you can make early marriages work if you are open minded.

SO my question is, dont you think it'd be better if we just stuck to one ideology rather than stay inbetween those two and cause unnecessary pain and suffering?

I've always been against early marriages but recently I'm really starting to see its merits, keeping genders apart for as long as we do in our society is just destructive. We may progress in material ways but as far as relationships go, the state of our society is no better than the west, men and women rarely understand each other mostly so because you dont LIVE together, you perceive the other sex as aliens in fear instead of realizing they are just like you.

I know I havent voiced it in the best way but I hope some people get my point :p

The perfect age to get married

You're in your prime ;)
well i think that a person can get married by that age easily of with some efforts.

consider a student who is going through engineering, he will graduate by the age of 22 and in my opinion, he should be stable enough in 3-5 years to get married.
for a student going through mbbs (the longest carrier path currently considered apart from CA) add 1-2 more years ;)

but in our society people get married after 30. all the reasons that not being settled, not mature enough etc etc i consider to be lame. maturity comes with responsibility which in turn produces stability and settlement.
so get married to be mature to get settled :D

Get married before 30.

You don't want to be 60 year old before your kids graduation.

This thread shows how lonely pg members are. LOL
you'd be surprised how many of us here are married, in relationships. ;)

Stop making me feel old ;). I don't want to get married for another few years. Here is another possible career path. Graduate at 23 (one extra year if you do o/a level), work for two years to get required job experience for mba, start masters at the age of 25, start job at 27 and work atleast a couple of years to get financially stable. So 29-30 is just about the right age and I still have another two or three years left :D.

Yeah right, I spend the best years of my life working 9 to 6 like a donkey and then go to the university full of tired/frustrated evening shift students so that I reach home by 9 o clock, have dinner and go to sleep. I want to prolong my (full time) student life for as long as possible :D.

Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.
