Recovered my PS4 from a BLOD the other day. The lights totally went off while I was playing Ghosts, which was installed on my hdd. It used to boot up, get stuck on the Playstation insignia and then just plain shut off. Had to reset the system, which meant I lost all the games on the hdd. But gave me the confidence that the PS4 isn't all that fragile.

Yes it can come at any time but there are thousands out their who have recovered their PS4s from BLOD out of the Box and if it came after that. That is because it is not a hardware issue at all. Its a software glitch in which the PS4 cannot come out of a constant loop of error when it encounters it at boot. This gave me some confidence in PS4 and now Im getting one for myself
Tried some KZ multiplayer with remote play some time ago, and while the drop to 30fps is noticeable in terms of controller response, it's still playable for the most part. Managed to get quite a few kills.
The Vita's assist grip and analog stick caps give it an entirely different feel. It's almost like holding a Dualshock 4, minus the triggers. Highly recommended to anyone planning on using remote play on a regular basis.

Xbox 360 & PS3 launch games looked primitive compared to recent games of 2012/13. Similarly, we will see the real potential of the new machines in 2015 or after.
So far, nothing has impressed IMHO. The only astounding thing that came out were Epic Games' Unreal Engine 4 demos.

Sony released a new commercial for the PlayStation 4 in Japan, which doesn't go to market in the region until Februrary 22, 2014. It seems like a long time for Japan to get their hands on the PS4, especially when major parts of the world are already enjoying next-gen greatness. So it seems appropriate that Japan's first PS4 commercial is about the world enjoying their first day launch excitement.
PlayStation 4 will release in Japan on February 22, 2014 and comes in a variety of options at 39,980 yen and 43,980 yen for a PS Eye camera bundle. The first PS4s will include a free download code for Knack.
Sony says the late launch in Japan is to allow more time for Japanese developers to get their games ready for the PS4 launch date.
