The GPU contains a unified array of 18 compute units, which collectively generate 1.84 Teraflops of processing power that can freely be applied to graphics, simulation tasks, or some mixture of the two.

PS4 radically reduces the lag time between players and their content. PS4 features “suspend mode” which keeps the system in a low power state while preserving the game session. The time it takes today to boot a console and load a saved game will be a thing of the past. With PS4, gamers just hit the power button again and are promptly back playing the game at the exact point where they left off. Additionally, users can boot a variety of applications including a web browser when playing a game on PS4. PS4 also enables games to be downloaded or updated in the background, or even in stand-by mode. The system takes it one step further by making digital titles playable as they are being downloaded. When a player purchases a game, PS4 downloads just a fraction of the data so gamers can start playing immediately, and the rest is downloaded in the background during actual gameplay.

Combined with the Mono Headset that will be bundled with PS4, gamers will also be able to chat with friends playing online, while hearing sound effects from the controller in hand.

i now my slingle gtx 670 is 2.3+ TFLOPS
Dont mind plz the only the thing is standing is 8 gb of ram on that console.Nothing

They haven't offered full details on the GPU yet, but it was mentioned that it does 2TFLOPS, so that's roughly the same as a single GTX 670. The big difference is that programmers will be able to use more competent tools to tap further into the hardware's capabilities. Plus, since it is a unified pool of RAM, at any given instance, the GPU can utilize over 4GB of GDDR5 of VRAM. That's unheard of on any PC GPU. The max I've seen is 4GB on the high-end GTX 690, for instance. Plus, the typical system RAM on PC is DDR3, whereas it GDDR5 on the PS4.

Wrong they have amd cpu are available imo.Yes 8 core with 1.6 ghz cpu speed right.But i am happy that ps4 atleast have dx 11 tech which help pc user to rise there game and next gaming.

The rumors specs had quoted a 1.6 Ghz clock speed, but they had also said the unified GDDR5 RAM would be 4GB. It turned out to be twice of that, so the clock speed can also be higher.
