So lets get cracking shall we. Well it wasn't all plain sailing. It's been a real headache for me and for everyone trying to build a Sandy bridge PC cuz of the board shortages (screw intel
).
First of all a big thanks to Mr. bawksee bawks Skullbox for the immense advice and help to make this build possible. It would not have been possible without him (not in this year anyway ). Also a big thanks to Mr. one hundred million posts c0d3r bhai. Thanks also to shani bhai for some valuable advice.
So here's what i got:
Core i5-2500 (3.3 GHz, 6MB cache)
Now hipsters will say "Man you should have got the -K CPU". The fact is, i have no intention to overclock and have an elaborate cooling setup so the normal i5 is just fine. Plus the fact that i wasnt gonna get a P67 or Z68.

yes yes u'r thinking WTH is this ? well i wanted to get my system up cuz i had already waited so long so i'm with this mobo for the meanwhile before a prettier one arrives *wink wink*

The GPU is on the wishlist. Will be getting it soon InshAllah.
A small note on Intel TurboBoost 2.0 . I didnt expect this board to support it, cuz its not explicitly mentioned in the spec sheet of this and numerous other boards. It definitely works on this. It will take this CPU to 3.7 GHz if one core is being used and 3.4 GHz if you're using all 4 cores. It's not much but still it does what its supposed to do.
I'll add benchies soon if someone's interested
And if you're wondering why the pics are so awesome, well its cuz Ov3rboost took em in his top secret photo studio. Even the green board looks nice LOL.
