Unable to change Start orb in windows 7

Well, I have been trying to change windows 7 start orb using this tutorial http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/23024-start-menu-button-change.html but can't seem to get to delete/rename the explorer.exe

here's the screenshot of the error despite of the fact I have taken the ownership of explorer.exe but still the error prevails. Someone please help me get over it.

First of all check out this vid although its for XP but might work

The explorer.exe you want to edit is:

C:\Windows\explorer.exe

and not C:\Windows\SysWOW64\explorer.exe

ahh, no that won't work and I was renaming the correct explorer.exe file.

Can you tell me how much size the Folder/File is showing?
Go to Properties and see .... if its 0 Bytes or not.

i suggest u download this theme:

in it is a reg file called take owner ship

run that file, then select explorer.exe and one any other file, right click and select take ownership from the righclick menu, then u'll be able to do it

@ eViLrAcEr, thank you, but I already have that and tried it as well.

The problem was I was not able to edit the explorer.exe because it was running. So I ended the tast and went to new process clicked browse. I went to C:\Windows\ and backedup and replaced the existing explorer.exe with modified one... and the started new process of explorer.exe and my orb is not rocking
