I didn't read the whole thread, but I just want to say this:
They have a point.
This thing Muslims are doing with death threats and such... is just another form of terrorism. If someone paints a picture of prophet Muhammad, who gave YOU the right to kill them? Who are YOU to decide who gets to live and who gets to die? You're threatening to kill them for something so trivial.
And before someone brings up the "wots yer religion??" bullshit. LOOK, I AM OFFENDED BY THESE PICTURES TOO. I DON'T LIKE THEM. THEY'RE EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL, IF ANYTHING.
BUT it does not mean I'm going to kill the person for doing it. Why? Because they have the right to do what they want. They're not stopping ME from being a Muslim, so why should I stop THEM from doing what they want?
This boycott thing won't make a difference, since the point that they're trying to make is still a valid one. People will continue to draw pictures of prophet Muhammad even IF the group gets deleted. Facebook isn't the end of the world, peeps.
I suggest doing this: ignore facebook until the hype dies down. That way, you won't be offended by anything, the point will be made, the world will continue to rotate on its axis and everyone wins. How about that?
