I'd love to hear you say that a year on from now. Rest assured fully dynamic and real-time lighting would be the biggest upgrade for console exclusive developers next-gen (lmao)
Needs to be posted again for the X360 gamers hoping for a port
I don't see why they wouldn't announce it for current gen consoles if they plan to release the game on them.
Even though I myself would like to see a next gen version, but if the engine is scalable, they SHOULD release current gen console ports. That's where they'll make most of their money.

As long as we get exclusive quality games, that don't entirely focus on graphics like Crysis 3 and ACTUALLY offer amazing gameplay and presentation; i don't mind at all
Besides, i can hardly wait to see next generation exclusive first party IPs. It will be a sight to behold, that's for sure

Unfortunately for you that is meaningless in determining which is the better technology. As if everyone is concerned with what you mind or do not mind. The blind fanboyism is very obvious here
They really haven't announced it for any specific platforms, they just say PC and top of the line consoles, there's only two top of the line consoles out right now

This is not the same engine as the one they used for Witcher 2 on X360. With the upgraded RED Engine 3, and given the scale of the game, and also the fact that they did not outright say X360 and/or PS3, its highly unlikely that this would be ported to current gen consoles. 'All high-end platforms' and 'modern hardware' is likely pointing to next-gen consoles who's names aren't officially announced yet.

Even with the considerably less rate of piracy on X360, majority of the sales for Witcher 2 were made on PC even before the X360 version was released. I don't see how their next game selling more on consoles would affect the people that will be playing its best version either way
Or maybe he'll just be bragging on the expense of people who will actually buy the game legit

I really think CDPR shouldn't have released those screenshots yet.
Sure, The Witcher 2 is still a great looking game but they are talking about the Red Engine 3 here. It HAS to impress just like The Witcher 2 did after the original Witcher.
It's like Valve releasing a screenshot of Half-Life 3 on Source instead of Source 2.
Eventually it will look a lot better but they promised a new engine, so the expected jump is much higher.
The only valid thing from his pov he said in the video is AC dead since Black Flag. According to woke police that game was woke too. Welsh man in West Indies. So atleast he's consistent I guess lol
Did y'all see the new Assassin's Creed trailer? They finally made a AC set in Japan & then they put a negro as the male protagonist. Ubisoft is taking cues from Disney, and it isn't gonna end well for them, just like Disney. Go woke, go broke!
Phil keeps talking about breaking barriers to gaming, making it accessible on all platforms yada yada, while killing competition and creativity at the same time. the fact that i actually believed him for a second lol
Phil should be held responsible for this shitfest too, just like Sarah, but it's highly likely that these decisions are coming from Satya. And this isn't even the end of it. More closures are coming.
if we are moving towards more and more popular trash across platforms that make billions for companies, I'm happy with all the barriers and exclusivity because at least that brings some pressure to create good stuff.

"These changes are not a reflection of the creativity and skill of the talented individuals at these teams or the risks they took to try new things" ... seems to me that's exactly what it is
