Witcher 2 sold more on PC than Xbox360? I didn know.

It still sold pretty well on a single platform i.e Xbox 360. I reckon it sold more than half million. That too after the fact that the original Witcher wasn't even released on consoles. If they had targeted multiple platforms i.e PS3/360, the final sales number might have been close to 1 million.

You just need to take a look at Crysis 2, a PC exclusive(In start), which sold about 75% of its copies on consoles. The number might be higher or lower, i can't remember exactly but Chandoo had posted it in the Crysis 3 thread.

We can't say. TW2 sold about 940k in the first 4 months of release on the PC, and shipped 500k in the first WEEK of release on the 360 (more than half were confirmed SOLD to consumers in the first week).

Regardless of exact numbers, TW2 sold extremely well for a year-late-port.

1.1 million on PC in first 7 months.
Probably 600k out of the updated 1.7 million on X360, according to this report, if we assume that all the rest of those sales were on X360 only.

CDPR usually announce their successes and hitting 1 million sales on their first console game probably wouldn't go unnoticed. They deserve all the success, no matter which platform it comes from

TW will continue to sell as the name starts to emerge. It not like big games which create a lot of noise and hype on their release and turn out to be puffs of smoke. TW is, as I read somewhere "came out of nowhere, flashed some t*tties and grabbed everyone attention" .

Well am not a Witcher fan but given the quality of the game and what I've seen/read, those sale numbers are kinda depressing.

I'm sure the next one will sell alot better, especially if they can actually delivver everything they're promising.

CD Projekt Red has confirmed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for PlayStation 4 in 2014.
The Polish developer said the open world role-playing game will launch simultaneously on all high end consoles, guaranteeing release on the next Xbox.
