well.... the first call I got was on 26 March.... don't know about the situation of invite phase during that time.....

Maybe people who got a call while the invites were closed are getting it now?
Anyway, there's nothing about the feature being available to everyone, yet.

I made a call last night, to a friend in neighborhood. And to my surprise, the call quality and performance is absolute sh*t. There is significant delay in transferring your voice, and stuttering makes it even worse. (Tested on WiFi)

And here i thought hangouts was worse lol.

What i have been using Whatsapp and hangout for calls from UAE To Pak and the quality is great and Smooth

i blame peeetcl in this regard ! i am hearing myself during whatsapp calls and i sound sh*t its weird hearing yourself when talking to someone echo ! haha

I think the voice calling feature has been activated for all, regardless of the version. Just updated whatsapp to the latest version and now ot shows the call option.

tell the other guy to use Earphone the sound may be bouncing from speaker

one of my colleague also telling me the same his calling is activated though i called him few weeks ago when the invite windows was off may be that has to do something with that

there are lots of Cellular companies Giving Free whatsapp facebook and twitter or with some mere amount weekly package
so i believe one can use it for replacement of SMS and Voice calling

Actually its opened to all: WhatsApp Voice Calls Are Open To All In Version 2.12.19 — No Invites Needed

I don't think its PTCL problem when it comes to bad call quality. Read the comments on the interwebs. Quite a lot of people are complaining about it. Same problem on 3G/4G. (I didn't use any speaker to make the call, neither did the guy i made the call to).

Same for me. I used Telenor 3G to call my cousin in Islamabad using Nayatel, there was at least a 2 second gap between the words being transferred.

The call quality is very mediocre when using 3G.
Lets hope it gets better, because it used to be good when very few people had it. Now that the entire world is using it, call quality sucks.

when it wasnt open for all there was no delay on that i also noticed the delay when this feature become public

Lol, seriously? It's banned? Damnnn! Btw, it's not working here in Pak, atm. Idk what's up with them or maybe it's Telenor but to segregate the problem I want someone from Pakistan to confirm if it's working or not [emoji53]
