Finished the first season of American Gods.

Pretty damn good first season, a wonder to behold. Bryan Fuller always makes wonder in the visual department and he met his best counterpart in this weird world that Neil Gaiman created. A perfect marriage. Loving this adaptation. Especially all the "Coming to America" stories. They are the show stoppers. Sometimes the story gets a little slow, but Fuller does his best to keep things moving forward. I am thankful that I read the book otherwise I would have nary a clue what the fuck was going on. And counter to that, the show adds so so much in addition to the book that it feels a completely different thing. It's a great feeling.

Highly anticipating the next season.
so if someone who hasn't read the book watches it they won't be able to grasp much?

Not entirely. But having read the book surely gave me more context in understanding the general direction of the story. I wasn't as much at sea as I would have been otherwise.

Yeah, I watched them yesterday too. First two episodes were just okayish but the show started to pick up in E03. I am excited about the E04 now. I hope they don't ruin this TV Show as the movie was great.

Watched Season 5 of House of Cards.

Man, this show has run out of gas. It is more interested in just piling on seemingly huge twists, but it has become a very high profile soap opera with a very hammy Kevin Spacey and very reserved Robin Wright.

Few useless characters that are given way too much screentime/story: Tom Yates, Jane Davis, LeAnn Harvey, Doug Stamper (yes, his storyline should have wrapped up by now).

Finished the 3rd and final season of Netflix's Bloodline.

A show that had the juice of 7 episodes at max, but was pushed to 33 because Netflix, like a person with bad impulse control and inability to say no, does not know when to step up and say this isn't working, let's cancel this shit.

To be honest, it's not bad, or at least it wasn't for the most part. It looks terrific, and is acted amazingly, especially by Ben Mendelsohn (Seasons 1 & 2) and Kyle Chandler. But unfortunately, that is the biggest credit you can give this series. In fact Kyle Chandler, especially in S3, is so much better than anyone else in the show that you feel bad for the other actors. They can't come close to his level. Sad that he was surrounded in a plodding, dull show that thought it had something great to tell about toxic familial relations, and haunting traumas from the past that never quite die. But it becomes a chore to watch hour after hour of filler, storylines and characters that are literally tangential to the central plot, and not that interesting. This constant going around in circles was the biggest bane of this series. Felt repetitive, cyclical, overlong, plodding and overwritten when it didn't need to. It was about two brothers, one good, one bad, both having the potential to be the other, and that was a one season story at best (remember Homeland??).

Let's hope Kyle Chandler finds something to match his immense talent.

Okay, when you have nothing else to watch ... You sit down n watch all 3 seasons of HTGAWM (How to get away with murder)
First season was great but then it started dragging for no apparent reason ... I wonder if she (Annaliese) is such a brilliant planner, why she has not yet run for President of US ... If Trump can make it so can she 😂

Finished watching the first season of American Gods. Enjoyed it a lot. The stylized violence definitely gave me Spartacus feels. The premise is super interesting and I'm really digging it. Ian McShane is THE MAN! The ending really left me in a huge urge for season 2.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
