5850 beating GTX460 by a good margin but they have no comparison with each other because they belong to entirely different price segments.

Wow! You can't come up with a worse argument? Who plays games at those resolutions?

Have a look at this test. Even though, resolution is 1920 x 1200 but it is still a very big resolution and Palit GTX 460 1 GB defeated HD 5850 in Crysis Warhead.

HD 5850 competes with GTX 470 and yet we see a much cheaper graphics card giving up a fight. It says a lot about how wonderful product GTX 460 is. Those who spent Rs.30000/- or higher amount, would surely feel a bit disturbed.

Anyways! This whole HD 5850 vs GTX 460 fiasco was uncalled for.

The resolutions that you should focus at should be within 1680 x 1050 - 1920 x 1080 range. This is where a single GPU should sign.

• Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 1GB (675MHz core, 1,350MHz stream processors, 3.6GHz memory) using ForceWare 258.80
• Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 768MB (675MHz core, 1,350MHz stream processors, 3.6GHz memory) using ForceWare 258.80

Conclusion:

The GTX 460 1GB is a return to form for Nvidia. It trades blows with the Radeon HD 5850, which is £40 more expensive, and pummels its now similarly priced stable mate, the GTX 465 and the slightly cheaper Radeon HD 5830.
