Its 2MB up by default. If its not then you should just call and ask them to upgrade that as well.

Does anybody know if/how much does the ping of our internet connection affect your browsing and streaming? Need a quick answer for this, I have googled around and havent found anything relating to browsing etc, everything is about gaming. [MENTION=42544]murtaza12[/MENTION]

Unless the ping is really high and I'm talking like 1000+ ms, only then you might feel a difference.

Otherwise ping only affects gaming and video conference calls.

Switch back to ADSL2+ on your modem.

Message PTCLCares on Twitter and ask them to change your line path to FAST instead of interleaved. It reduces the ping to your gateway by 10-15 ms which will slightly improve your ping overall to international servers.

Nope.. I was on 8mb for 2 years I think. Last month I had it disconnected and moved to cable.

I'll check though if I still have a SS on the line stats. Took alot to email PeeTCL when issues came.

I'm sorry but what I said earlier seems to be incorrect. Even now when I run the test using the app from a Lahore server the uploads hover around 140 which were around the 170 mark last night around 3am. What my setting show on the other hand are attainable rates of 1000 up so I don't think the said speeds above are even possible.

On the ptcl speed test Im gettibg 985 down and 125 up. I can testify to getting the down speeds in actually life since I have downloaded 350gb stuff in the past 7 days but I rarely upload anything so I can't say anything about that.

I have downgraded from 8mbps to 2mbps and will soon get the broadband connection of PTCL closed. Their service and browsing speed is so lousy they do not deserve my money.

I'm running them at 480p, ping and speed tests are fine tho. This problem isn't that uncommon for me around 10-1 in the night.
