Well, technically Rawalpindi.

But yeah, Alcatel has definitely proven it's UNRELIABILITY today. The MSAG has malfunctioned in my area and their own technical team can't seem to diagnose the issue correctly.

It's now been offline since 1:30 PM and I'm still waiting.

Hello I am new here, Can you please tell me i have ordered of 50MB VDSL on 1218, but my area lineman person said VDSL card is not installed yet, and when i call to 1218 and i Said them my lineman said VDSL is not available in my area and he can see it on there system and check my phone number and said me VDSL is Available in your area and it is deployed in 48 hours and he placed my 50Mb order.
Can anyone please tell me what is this? Is it VDSL is Available in my area or not anyone please help

Your lineman knows whats going on in the exchange. 1218 guys don't. So if he says that the vdsl card isn't installed then it means its not available.

My SNR downstream was above 300, The max i used to get was like 260. Also if i restart my router. The SNR downstream starts from 511 and goes down from there. Any idea what is causing this spike? My connection seems stable but i have got a few DCs here n there.

Phone line is pretty clear as it used to be. Nothing extra in the noise, I tried swapping the splitter and the result is same after a restart. It is starting from 511 and goes down to my average which is like 250ish.

Stats right now.

Attainable rate is terrible. How far are you from the DP?

Edit: Why are you synced at G.DMT and not ADSL2+?

Hardly 1.3 KM away from Exchange. Attainable rate isn't an issue, It's the new vdsl modem's way of showing things. Basically it shows what ever your package is. I have tested this with the 8mbps package and it then shows attainable rate at 9210 kbps. Also on adsl2+ my usual attainable rate is above 20,000+ Kbps. I'm on G.DMT cause of FAST path. Adsl2+ is on interleaving and it increases my ping. Hence why G.DMT. I have contacted care ptcl email countless times for adsl2+ fast path but it seems like my exchange guys don't know how to do that. :D

I will update this thread with the adsl2+ attainable rate.

Edit: Seems like i'm getting that spike only on G.DMT mode. On Adsl2+ I am on my avg snr of 250ish. While on G.DMT i'm pushing above 300 for some reason. So the pattern has been something like this so far on G.DMT. Starts at 511, Drops to my average 250ish and then goes up from there to like 330ish. Wonders of PTCL


Edit 2: Looks like the spike on G.DMT has gone too.

Anyone from PTCL having decent pings to Europe recently? From what I've heard PTCL is actively engaged in route optimization and peering initiatives to achieve lower latency and an improved user experience for gaming on European and Asian servers.

Using StormFiber and being on PIE upstream, I can confirm this. Have been getting the lowest possible pings to EUW for the first time.
I was getting like 150ms (on ADSL in ISB) to Lux, EUW like 2 months ago. After that, it went back to 175-195ms.

I just noticed this new feature, if you log into your PTCL account on their website, there is now a button to request for change to FAST path without actually calling the helpline or emailing them.

Screenshot attached.

On exchanges that have been updated to CRM-2 and have new MSAGs that support automation, it should happen within a few minutes, but being PTCL, it will probably take a day or two.

The main issue surrounding FAST path requests were the lack of customer support agents that understood what you were talking about, so most requests were treated as complaints, and then closed shortly after since they didn't find any issues.

Yeah wait for it.
[MENTION=72652]arslantahir1[/MENTION] was talking to us about it on the WhatsApp group, and he requested for fast path through the website, and his connection re-synced a few minutes after the request. FAST path wasn't enabled immediately, but at least we knew they were working on it.

They said that the connection should be active soon, most probably within this week and that no further configuration would be required in the ONT.

    I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.
